Tablet suggestions for taking handwritten notes

I'm looking for a midrange android tablet, exclusively for taking notes with a stylus in Obsidian. It doesn't need to be powerful, but just take good notes. The ideal size is anything 11'' and under. I would also appreciate if it isn't too bloated, and behaves similar to stock android. I have looked mostly into the Pixel Tablet as well as the Lenovo M11, P11 and K11. Other suggestions are welcome.

I got myself an Onyx boox e ink tablet for note taking. I don't know if it's what you're looking for but it runs android and writes beautifully. Good battery life with the e ink. I love mine. It is more expensive than an equivalent standard tablet though and no back light on my model.

I have also been looking into that. Would you say it is better than a tablet for you? I love the smaller size and focus on writing, but since it's around $200 more expensive than a comparable tablet I'm not sure whether I should get one.

I love my onyx. I use it for running RPGs, it's great for taking notes and reading pdfs. Plus as it's still running android you can run regular apps and browse. It's a more focused experience than a general tablet but I'd say worth the money for my use case.

I love my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+. I bought one after using my Note 10+ for years and becoming hooked on the S Pen. The default program for taking notes on Samsung devices is literally called Notes, I've used it for years and it has been a boon to digitizing my all handwritten notes and drawings (I also use ibisPaint). The Samsung S Pen is a comfortable size, feels natural to use and very responsive. The S9+ is a little more pricey, but it has a 1440p AMOLED screen and is just gorgeous to look at and use. Highly recommended.

I wrote all of this and then looked up Obsidian to see what kind of software it is. You can use it for sure, though the S9+ might be overkill if you don't need the drawing/writing capabilities. I have used my mechanical Bluetooth keyboard to it and that works great, but I tend to use Microsoft SwiftKey with the S Pen when I don't have the luxury of sitting down to type. HTH

I have a friend that swears by her Galaxy A10. She's a compulsive note scribbler and it suits her great.
