It seems Luckey's military technology startup is considering a product slightly different from its current portfolio.

So this entire article is a beat-up in response to a single tweet:

There is no laptop. There is no potential laptop coming soon.

I put Palmer Luckey in the same category as Elon Musk: his company's products could be the best in the world, I wouldn't buy any so none of my hard earned ever reaches his pocket.

I know nothing about this guy. Another asshole billionaire?

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Yes.

The article explains what he has worked on over the years.

Thanks, I normally don't comment without reading... I guess I got lazy...

I won't even pay full for the usual imprted parts PC. Always buy used, off-lease laptops cost trivial $$ and run great.

"*But not for gamers probably... That's a different world

define American-made

[–] FancyPantsFIRE@lemmy.world 3 points 13 hours ago

wants to know if you'd spend 20% more for an American-made PC

Would I spend more if I could buy a product that paid people fairly, was ethically sourced, etc? Probably.

Would I spend any amount on a product that benefits Palmer Luckey? No.

I had the longest dream this morning about shaving my dick and balls. Now I know where all the pubes went. It's like Nightmare on Elm Street but instead of Freddy attacking you with knife fingers it's my pubes growing on your face.
