I once put a computer together correctly on the first try, booted up and let me install an OS no issues.

The only time I built a computer, everything went flawless. I'm scared my new computer is going to not behave well because why the f— would it.

I fished a wedding ring out of a basement shower drain with one of those flexible grabbers. Drain is made of iron pipe and embedded in concrete, so even demolition may have lost or destroyed the ring. It was past the trap and could be seen with a small snake camera. I had a flexible grabber that was spring all the way to the end, we stuck the camera in, and I got the ring after about 5 minutes of careful manuvering.

Oh man, it sure did. A very relieved couple and I was the hero for the weekend

Two related to accuracy when I was a kid:

From about 100 feet at dusk I chucked a rock at a phone pole and pegged it. My dad was with me and said “bet $20 you can’t do that again”

Chucked another and pegged it again.

Next was soccer. I wasn’t great but I also wasn’t awful. We were getting smeared by an older team we were scrimmaging against, coach had me as center mid field instead of forward or goalie.

Ball was being contended just ahead of midfield on the left side. It squirted out, and headed to me. I took a few strides forwards it, had no one to pass to and was not going to be able to dribble it up field.

I took at at the goal and kicked my hardest.

It had a high arch. The goalie looked ready to get it, but it came nearly straight down right in front of the goal crossbar, and the goalie wasn't in a good enough position to jump high enough to block it. Very lucky kick and bad positioning of the goalie.

I can do a high pitch squeaky voice like Elmo or higher and annoying.

I always wanted to try voice acting, but I never thought I was as diverse or talented as others. I'm contempt doing it as a party trick, did a voice mail once. Always wonder people's reaction to it.

Go for it. That sounds like fun.

Learned several forms of overtone singing.

I can independently wiggle the toe between the pinky toe and the middle toe on my right foot.

What knuckle are you bending at?

[–] spittingimage@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

All of them!

And I just learned that I can't.
