Russia is implementing a new phase of its propaganda campaign in the occupied part of the easternmost region of Donetsk by targeting Ukrainian preschoolers with Kremlin-backed ideological messaging.

The initiative was reported by Ukraine’s National Resistance Center (NRC).

The Kremlin has rolled out its indoctrination program titled “Conversations About Important Things for Preschoolers” in cities including Donetsk, Mariupol, Khartsyzk, and Shakhtarsk, according to the NRC.

Previously limited to schools and universities, the program is now being instilled even in nursery groups.

“Children are being exposed to lessons about so-called ‘values,’ myths, and the glorification of Russian figures — replacing education with indoctrination. The goal is to raise obedient subjects of the so-called ‘Russian world,’” the NRC said.

This form of so-called “education,” the report said, represents a systematic effort to erase Ukrainian identity in the occupied territories.

The Kremlin continues to use temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine for ideological reprogramming of children. Russian authorities are actively involving minors in propaganda events and initiatives designed to impose Russian identity and dismantle national self-awareness.

Earlier, the NRC also reported ongoing propaganda campaigns targeting children in occupied areas of the Zaporizhzhia region.
