I'll give them full points just for not putting it immediately in front of the door preventing it from being opened, despite the doormat request.
Malicious Compliance
People conforming to the letter, but not the spirit, of a request. For now, this includes text posts, images, videos and links. Please ensure that the “malicious compliance” aspect is apparent - if you’re making a text post, be sure to explain this part; if it’s an image/video/link, use the “Body” field to elaborate.
======
-
We ENCOURAGE posts about events that happened to you, or someone you know.
-
We ACCEPT (for now) reposts of good malicious compliance stories (from other platforms) which did not happen to you or someone you knew. Please use a [REPOST] tag in such situations.
-
We DO NOT ALLOW fiction, or posts that break site-wide rules.

I dunno about malicious, more like dumb request gets dumb results.
Lol I think you just described most malicious compliance posts. Just people throwing logic out the window while making demands, just to be swatted down by their own hubris.
Eh, there isn't anything malicious about this post.
The delivery guy was just being compliant.
I genuinely don't understand this request, is there any size of parcel that is not just an envelope that won't look super obvious under a door mat? Unless you have a cellar door under the mat or something, it makes no sense.
There's cardboard envelopes which often don't fit into mailboxes, but might not be completely obvious under the doormat?

I bet if you ordered a door mat.
(Or a book of stamps, or a comic book, or pet medication, or a set of screws, or a small electronic device, or hair pins, or printer ink, or a million other things I could name that would fit in a small package that could be placed under a door mat
This earns a golf clap. Well done.
