Actually really well.

Most of us are forgoing US goods whenever possible. There isn't actually a need to impose retaliatory tariffs if people just aren't buying US goods.

And in return, if he keeps jacking up the tariffs, Americans will pay more an dmore, and we won't. We keep money in our pockets, and spend it on goods made elsewehere.

Went grocery shopping this week, and we managed to not buy a single food item that came from the US. It's really easy now. A lot of the stores just don't stock it anymore. I got goods from Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Thailand and assorted European countries.

I hate it, but America has to be hit hard with retaliatiory tariffs to stop this nonsense.
