If you really want NACS under $25k you’re stuck with used Tesla. Otherwise, an adapter.

If you just started, this is a blip. It sounds like an aphorism because it is, but the whole thing with retirement. investing is to focus on the long term.

I’m not apologizing for the asshole who is trying to wipe out the global economy. Some portfolios may be worse than others, particularly if you’re biased into certain industries (and frankly tech stocks overweighted the indices the last few years). Historically, it will come back. Personally, I am down as well in my index tracking ETFs.

Don’t leave famous anti-onanist Kellog out. He promoted the idea of high carb breakfasts to dull the sexual appetite. Contrast to the filthy-minded English, eating titillating substances like sausages and eggs.

Anyhow, there’s “dessert for breakfast” foods and there’s “breakfast” foods and it sounds like your girlfriend is a bit more towards the dessert side of the spectrum. Nothing wrong with a fry-up. I used to be a big dessert for breakfast guy but I realized that it sent me into a sugar rush/crash and was very bad for my mood and productivity.

Personally, I just don’t bother with it. Started off as intermittent fasting but now that I’ve seen there’s not a ton of evidence to support the theory, I just don’t because convenience.

I’m not trivializing the rout, but the S&P, DJIA, DAX, FTSE, HSI, are still (marginally) up over the last two years. An index fund should be as well.

In both scenarios the profit margin is removed, or the customers are bearing the significant increase in cost. Hence the recession - the stock market plummets or inflation goes up. Or both.

  1. Yes
  2. Don’t you drain them out? Weird. Make the patterns, make a tiny hole, drain it out. That way you get an omelette.
  3. Plastic is bad. Truthfully, I don’t know enough about the carbon footprint of a chicken egg, but the plastic will live forever.

In ~~Soviet Russia~~ america, we use potato for everything.

That’s the car I was thinking of specifically. Wasn’t a good time overall for Mercedes though, to be fair.

When my employer reimburses me fully, I will pay for two connections. But they don’t, even though they (could) save a ton of money by closing the office.

Less inequality and better education are really the only solution.

People reach for extremism when they feel let down by the existing system.

I feel that.

And what are ya gonna do? How far down and to the left in the Magic Quadrant do you go before you find a non-American alternative?

Sucks to be here. I had hopes the money (of the threatened companies) would win over the rhetoric, but now the company I work for is effectively built around software that’s not got mature non-American alternatives. I’m still trying to recommend European options when they’re available

Sure, let’s just gloss over the cost of heating - which relies heavily on fossil fuels or smog-producing fuels, or both.

Datacentre thermal management (especially for AI)isn’t even in the same ballpark as cooling for homes. One produces pretty charts for management, the other keeps people alive.
