This is the opposite of that. They're shopping around for a more conservative candidate and calling that "centrist". They called Obama too left. The guy whose most notable achievement was passing a rebranded Republican healthcare bill (which Republicans still treated like it was the most progressive socialized single payer system ever despite it being just about the polar opposite).

It seems like your personal views are a lot more right-wing than normal on lemmy.ml. While you may see yourself as a centrist or leftist, that is not the case for others.

You might feel more at home on a different instance, like lemmy.world. Not only would local posts & users be more aligned with your own politics, you could also avoid the stigma/stereotypes associated with this instance. Even if you move to another instance (Lemmy server), you'll still be able to interact with most other instances, though some defederate from (block) some other instances.
