Lads, ladettes, and enbies, I come to you seeking advice. My wife and I are just back to County America after visiting her family in the North. Upon discovering that our tea jar was empty, she proceeded to order some Barry's. Am I now legally required to file for divorce?

More seriously, what is everyone's favorite tea (and why is it Lyon's)? And favorite thing to go along with it?

Not a big tea drinker myself but my dad did a blind taste test with my sister to determine which was the best tea. I can never remember the results though - they did it a few years back.

I am not Irish and I am also very confused.

Lyon's vs Barry's is a bit closer to vim vs emacs than it is to Coke vs Pepsi. When you think about the fact that the Irish annually consume the 2nd largest amount of tea per capita in the world, behind only Turkey, it makes good sense.

I didn't know the Irish were tea drinkers tbh

It's one of those colonial imprints that's very widespread. I'd imagine like a lot of things in the last 20 years, it has declined at least a little.
