They're made to be disposable and are often quite damaged, I believe.

I'm glad they specified it was festival detritus. I was worried it was stolen from camps of the unhoused.

The amount that even the middle class is capable of wasting compared to the poor is immense... I imagine the stuff from encampments is probably just trashed with no other consideration

To be fair, tents are not meant to be used daily, so those tents are probably not reusable anyway.
