Because everything we can say about reality is through the human perspective and the construct of language. We believe that this can yield us truths. But its just a belief. Our human-ness might just as well blind us to what is actually true. And as such, most of everything we think we know is based on belief. There is no escaping this problem.

Next ten years? Sounds more like a 50/100 year prediction
Netherlands. I can call to make an appointment, or do it online. Then i walk/bike there, its in the neighbourhood. We have about 10 minutes for an appointment. The doctor either refers me to a specialist, prescribes drugs (most doctors have a pharmacy attached), or does small procedures. For jabs, check ups, stool samples, that type of stuff, the assistent takes care of it most of the time. You can leave without paying.
We pay a monthly insurance that pays for everything, basically. im over simplifying, its not that straightforward, but its what it boils down to.
The numbers for 1993 werent in yet?
45m I knew from a very early age that i never wanted to be a father. I have always been very upfront about it with my partners and it has ended one relationship. She found out that she did grew, after two years of being in a relationship, to have a child wish. And I could have at that time become a dad, and im sure i would be great at it, but im very happy that never happened. I got my vasectomy soon after that, i was around 30. Just to make sure there were never any accidents.
For the question of why... I don't know. I've tried to analyse it but i can't give a deeper reason than feeling a deep aversion. I have a good relation with my parents, had a decent childhood and i love my nephews dearly. I like children and i don't mind being around them. I don't particularly care for anti child propaganda either.
My partner and i are living a child free life. She also has zero interest in having children of our own.
People are idiots andll try to whack that seed full force with a blunt potato peeler.

Im 45 and im fine, i do hard physical labour without much stress. No (big) health issues. The trick is to not be overweight, and have a decent lifestyle. And it's not like im some kind of health guru, i smoked until i was 36, i never played any sport, sat around gaming... It honestly doesn't take that much to be healthier. So really all the people complaining that things go downhill after you're thirty are full of shit. There is no reason why you can't grow muscle, endurance, and generally condition yourself way into your 50s. If your body is breaking down after 30 you either have physical problems or you aren't actually living healthy in earnest.
People in this thread clearly don't understand what the implications are. There is a very clear danger of war on the European continent that will involve NATO and by proxy the US. Aid for Ukraine is the absolute cheapest option. Europe is not going to just let Ukraine fall and will ramp up their involvement. We already have France willing to send troops.
Yes. And also explains why worldviews are so different between cultural, linguistical and geographically different groups of people.
Even though we're becoming more and more unified, through the internet, through logic systems like maths or science in general. This is not to be mistaken for truth. Western scientific ideology specifically has as unspoken 'truth' that when ideas 'win', they are more valuable. While English, our logical rules, our ideologies are winning not because they are true but because they are believed more, or over, other languages, logic systems and ideologies.
Ofcourse these systems of beliefs create opportunities and knowledge for people. Don't mistake my dismissal of truth for disaproval.
