Violence, especially "left-wing violence", is the fastest way for them to tighten their grip on the reins of power. Just as Israel bombs Hamas with complete disregard for civilian lives the Trump admin could start arresting and deporting anyone with "far left" ties because it's too risky to just let those people walk free or they're giving "aid or comfort" to domestic terrorists.

But don't you remember that time Biden said, "I want double, triple vaccinations in red states! They'll pay for calling COVID 'the flu'!" /s

They're not talking about bringing us back to 1970s levels of unionized labor, CEO pay, or taxation though.

For anyone confused by this, it helped me most when someone said if there were 100 doors you'd have a 1% chance of guessing the right one off the bat. Then if they revealed 98 doors that weren't the prize, giving you a chance to swap, you'd be a fool to keep your original guess.

Buy enough Trump meme coin and Kash Patel's FBI will just rubber stamp it.

I thought someone had a good response by bringing a pre-made anti-anti-protest sign saying something like, "My favorite flavor is BOOT!" or, "Making Nazism Great Again ⬇️".

Some people will get busted up and arrested if not worse. We'd all be safe and sound just sitting at home, watching TV and flipping through tiktok, for some time, until we can't breathe, we're forced out of our homes because we can't afford them or we're in the way of a golf course, we lose our kids because we told them a man can love another man, we can't go anywhere because every road is busted or costs money to use, our profession becomes non-existent from AI doing everything, and we die of cancer because health insurance is "our own responsibility" as is navigating insurance bureaucracy.

Yeah, a nice sitcom would hit the spot.

I expect a very cryptic "condemnation" of this act from the GOP any day now.

Trump might want to scratch the 21 gun salute in front of his podium.

What's the point of that? Don't soldiers work alongside civilian contractors all the time?

The tech reservists will serve for around 120 hours a year. Because of their private-sector status, each will carry the rank of lieutenant colonel.

There will be other dispensations for the technology officers. They will have more flexibility than the average reservist to work remotely and asynchronously, and will be spared basic training.

This pisses me off so much and I hope it makes the military livid too. Most people put their heart and soul into the work they do in basic training and officer training and even break into tears when they receive their new rank. These assholes are gonna take a fitness test and become officers?!?

And in a landslide victory, Iran elects Hamas!

My son dropped his Switch Lite in the toilet and the battery life seems worse than before. I'm thinking of doing the replacement myself but I'm curious how hard it is or if there are gotchas. I've replaced "non-replacable" batteries in phones before and I usually break some plastic tabs or (one time) pierce the battery. I'm totally fine taking it to a shop if it's moderate to hard.
