It seems the Cybertruck was a Delorean flavoured stainless steel kiss of death.

I think Musk indeed took inspiration from the DeLorean. He looked at the DeLorean and thought, hey what if we make that, but instead of making it look cool, we make it into a pickup truck that looks butt-ugly kind of like a dumpster?

And it's very well deserved IMO.

That's 100% the thing that would make the most sense. That he and his friends exploited this to make their fortunes even bigger.

concerns over threats against Taiwan

This is my single biggest concern about China. Not only because I think Taiwan should be an acknowledged independent country.
But I'm also concerned that if China invade or otherwise force Taiwan, that they won't respect other countries either.
We've seen many examples of China trying to muscle European countries over the simplest things, even just having a book at a library that is against the Chinese government! Such a small thing caused a serious diplomatic incident between Norway and China!!

It's also a problem that China still find themselves more aligned with Russia than the free world. China remains a totalitarian state, it's only because USA is behaving the same way now, that we (EU) have to say that from a security perspective, the difference is not really that big anymore.

If they ship it through Russia, there are no tariffs!

Wilkinson is registered as a UK company, but that company is owned by an American company.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgewell_Personal_Care

I thought Wilkinson was British, because it always were, it's a very old British company with lots of history way back.
But apparently already since the 80's it has changed owners many times, and is now owned by Energizer.

On the Wiki page it says Wilkinson is from UK. So it depends on definition. But I agree if it's US owned it should be considered a US company, because that's where the profits ultimately go.

Wilkinson used to be British, I was not aware it was sold to Energizer.

You could just click two more times

And you could just as easily have stated they are owned by the same company, or provided links supporting your claim, so there you go. I at least made the effort of checking and posting my findings.

Main Ground Combat System

Such a cool combination of French and German. 😋

Jokes aside good luck to the project.

I agree, but technically it needs to be 2 quarters in a row to be an official recession.

Without that, shit would be a lot worse right now

Basing trading strategy on false rumors doesn't make you better off, it only makes you worse prepared.

Just because stocks are higher than they might have been, doesn't change the reality of what's going to happen to the economy.

Luckily USA imports very little from China, so most people won't even notice.

Regarding people questioning durability:

https://thetechylife.com/how-long-do-byd-batteries-last/

BYD batteries are designed to last for 3000 to 5000 charge cycles

If a car has 400 km range on a charge and can handle 3000 cycles, that's 1.2 million kilometers.
While we don't know for sure, there has been nothing to indicate BYD should have compromised on that.
