This was really helpful and redirected my thoughts down a different path. I need more free time to even think about this. Humanity and existence are more complex than I thought.

So everyone we see and we interact with is actually us in different levels of consciousness or knowledge about everything, even people with completely different mentalities.

Most of the time I try to imagine myself in other people's lives. Like, what if I am an orphan or a beggar? As a beggar, if I get ill, how do I treat myself, etc.? Will they allow me in hospitals? And all the thoughts end in uncomfortable ways about life. When I talk about this to others, they don't like this at all and ignore me completely.

Don't know why, but I am refusing to be like others and continue to follow these weird thoughts. Currently I am completely alone, and my thoughts have become powerful enough that they can't be changed anymore.

Even if I am reborn. Without the same memories, experiences, and thoughts, how can I be me?

Likely my experiences and memories make me me. If right now that got erased, no matter the same appearance or same body, I will never be me. Right?

We have Ray-Ban glasses.

There is an extension called chrome mask on Firefox. It helps Firefox pretend to be Chrome on certain websites.

Is Ironfox on Linux too?

Vivaldi is not even an option for me. What else is in it other than the unique design? Even the built-in ad blocker is a joke that they never tried to improve. Just a painted chromium.

It's not just about setting up my primary browser, but on a virtual machine, which I don't even tweak most times or in the case of multiple users.

The sync feature only synced browser history, bookmarks, extensions, etc., but not any Firefox settings for me.

Not updating the browser for any reason is not a solution; it is opening yourself up to the threats on the modern web. Please don't do it.

I know they need to make money to thrive and compete against the competitors, but there is too much to tweak after each update. And it's really disturbing just because of how Firefox once was.

But by not doing what users need, how is it actually going to stay? Is money the only needed thing for Firefox to survive? Not users?

I don't have any issue with Firefox trying to make some money by doing such things, but all these features are causing the system to use a lot of RAM too. Once we praised Firefox as being the less memory-hogging browser in Linux, but if it is going this way, not anymore.

I called it bloatware because nowadays it is filled with bloat features no matter what.

We said Vivaldi is closed source just because they didn't publish some part (the unique design) of their code.

We call Brave Bloat because of its crypto stuff.

Now Firefox has promotional links, suggestions, tracking stuff, etc.; then why not call Firefox a bloatware?

By the way, if the contract with Google ended, then why is the default search engine still Google? Also, what is perplexity doing there?

There was a time I chose Firefox over the Chromium browser without a second thought. But nowadays, installing and opening Firefox seems like a time-consuming, very bloated experience.

Too many unnecessary features, promotions, sponsored links, and widgets are filled on the homepage. Firefox no longer allows deleting default search engines like google, perplexity, etc but can disable it. What kind of privacy feature is that? Also, all the data collection options are ticked by default. Users are needed to manually tweak it their own. Update after update instead of improving they make all the settings more complex, and there is a lot to set up after a fresh installation.

When I compare modern Firefox with 4–5 years behind Firefox, I feel like I am using browsers like Vivaldi or Opera instead of Firefox. Once we praised Firefox for its ram management in Linux but nowadays, it's bloat causes using more ram and not a lightweight option anymore. Seriously, Firefox must consider releasing a browser like Brave Origin (Firefox Origin or something).

Isn't anybody else frustrated with the new Firefox changes? If yes, what practical solutions exist? Debloat using any script or install any forks (no forks seem to be good; some are outdated, some are too much hardened, some are just not for daily browsing, etc.).

I'm just looking for a browser like Ungoogled Chromium but for Firefox (Unmozilla Firefox).

I know, after blocking this subdomain youtube watch history won't be tracked (saved) even if user is turned on it in data and privacy section of google account setting.

So, doesn't save watch history also mean youtube doesn't count views of users who block this subdomain ?

Why all the news channels we see today uses background musics and flashy animations instead of directly telecasting the news to it's audience?

Is there any advantage on putting specific background musics on each clips they telecast? Isn't a direct telecast without any added things is a more clean and direct way to broadcast news to the audience?

I am not a heavy user of meta apps, but still i forced to use one or two meta apps daily for educational and work related communication. Also instagram was so addictive until i understood the dark pattern and toxicity in the entire platform. That was just a platform for comparison and show off, even though many users/customers uses it as a blog platform, broadcast, promotion tool or anything.

One of the harderst product to quit was whatsapp. I used it in my custom rom (lineageos) installed phone with bootlocker unlocked. Recently i started to get a popup saying "please use the official app", no matter i downloaded it from anywhere (playstore, official website, apkmirror, aurora store). I know they detected that my phone is modified and installed a custom rom, they are intentionally doing this to millions of users. So, finally trying all the way to fix it, meta itself forced me to quit. I used one of my family members phone to just login and instantly deleted my account. Btw, nowadays i feel so peace. The most exciting thing is that, 2 of my friends actually contacted me via telegram and phone call to ask what happened. So, atleast 2 people noticed my sudden disappearing and cared to ask why!

The case of instagram is not like this, but random account restriction and "are you human ?" popups. Really meta can't figure out are we humans or not with this massive of data they collect? After they forced me to add my phone number to account and the refusal led to disabling of my 5th account, i choose to quit again.

Figuring out fediverse platforms like pixelfed, mastodon, lemmy showed me a different world that moves slowly and gives peace of mind.

I have been using it for more than a week and now am worried about the consequences that I am not sure are true or not!

I am worried that by allowing random users to surf using my network to prevent surveillance, someone will use my address to do malicious things, and I will get into legal consequences. Also, what if many services blacklist my IP address so eventually I get a lot of restrictions in my browing experience.

Furthermore, will this extension increase my fingerprint?

Are these thoughts valid, or am I just overthinking? If anyone knows, please comment.
