Sounds like you've thought about this a bit so you'll be fine. Everything you may need can be bought in route if necessary. Perhaps download offline maps for your navigation app in case you don't have cell service.

Maybe pack some healthy food? This is going to sound silly, but I like to buy small heads of green and purple cabbage and just eat the leaves raw while driving. It can keep you from buying junk at a gas station.

You could do some worst case prep, like have a couple gallons of water in the car and other things to keep yourself alive and comfortable in case the car breaks down somewhere inconvienent. If you have time you can buy a roadside assistance plan from AAA or similar so you can get towed to a mechanic, but you very likely won't need it.

I've been driving for over 20 years and I've never had a car break down in route. Just make sure the tire pressure is fine, the tires aren't shit, and there are adequate levels of engine oil and engine coolant. That's all you can really do.

Nah, a war in the middle east is normal. Nobody would accept a normal situation as justification to cancel elections.

I think this "do nothing wrong" tendency has something to do with intragroup power dynamics. I've often seen it used as a cudgel to knock down others within a group and stop mild dissent even though everyone is on the same team. Usually the most prolific wielder of the "do nothing wrong" cudgel rises to a position of some authority in the group, after which the group fragments because the person is insufferable but unassailable due to their moral superiority.

Was that for India?

.world is basically reddit. Sometimes I wonder why they left. Everywhere else has a delightfully different vibe.

Simetimes I think the future will resemble the pre-internet era. AI content will be so easy to create that the zone will be flooded with shit, and only a few reputable sources will be trusted, like when there were only a few TV news channels.

Why are you so abrasive? I'm mostly agreeing with you and you're still a dick, simply dismissing or ignoring my points. Read into carrying capacity, go offline, and have however many children you and your partner want so you won't have time to be online.

So is this a new ingredient, or has it always been in jolly ranchers?

I'm curious why you feel so strongly about this, and I'm inclined to agree with you, no authority should decide if and how many children a person can have, but if everyone had eight kids it'd probably be a problem. What would you think if a democracy decided no more than two? How would that sit with you? I believe individuals should have freedom but there should be limits that are collectively agreed on.

First point, I have read a bit and I'm unconvinced. People who want kids are having them, if they weren't, it'd be all over the mainstream news. Childless people would be suing Dupont or something.

Second point, again, I agree, but there is an environmental carrying capacity and we keep degrading the environment.

Your third point is true, but I was referring to the increasingly uncertain climate future. There may come a year where there just isn't enough due to an unlucky series of crop failures.

I can't argue against the fourth point.

I'm sorry I got caught up arguing a very specific point that you just made. You're already in the raft and I'm trying to fix the ship. Thanks for your help.

Ugh, that's a bummer, but thanks for the insight

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone here have experience with NACS adapters? I have a Nissan Ariya (CC3 charging port) and would like to use Tesla's supercharger network occasionally. Nissan sells a NACS adapter through their website for $244 USD, but it likely costs more than it should. Does anyone have recommendations for a generic CC3 to NACS adapter?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I'm in the market for a used EV in the USA. My family needs a second car, and we've been driving a 2017 LEAF for several years now. We like it quite a bit, but it has limitations when compared to other EVs (40 kWh capacity and CHAdeMO charge port). Does anyone have any suggestions? We'd like something with more range, a NACS charge port, and under $25K. Does such a thing exist? Is there a good website that can help me narrow down options?

Thank you!
