I mean, why would a government benefit from funding something like that? Also no large funding means no fear of doing something that the government won't like. And with the size of anti-Trump movements, it's probably a good thing.

For the record, I still don't really like this decision.

Fedora is removing X11 support, at least for the GNOME version. I think that's what the OP was talking about.

Typical replacement time of what? You never need to replace an SSD if it doesn't wear out.

You shouldn't really use swap on an SSD in the first place. It reduces the drive's lifespan.

Tbh with all I know, this situation is very weird and may have signs of conspiracy. I personally wouldn't trust any sources, including the developer themselves. People can be pretty unhinged nowadays for pretty ridiculous reasons.
