This issue was solved by recent updates and it is mostly related to how your audio displays at different resolutions. If you choose a zoom that fits your system, you can edit +1 hour 1080p files, with many cuts and filters, without a problem.

Buying and selling with a currency is capitalism. If I would just get a meal ticket from the communist party, I might trade away more of my belongings, but thats not the same market vegans try to address.

Thats the exact opposite of capitalism. Unprofitable business go bankrupt. Then their possessions and their labor force gets absorbed by other companies.

This is to align work with reality.

If politicians would artificially decide what companies to keep someone would have to pay for their mistakes. Markets are much better at this (just read “the use of knowledge in society” by Friedrich von Hayek)

Just like the suffering of animals is unnecessary to feed the planet, we now have to pay for the costs of climate change, because people want to life in a socialist fantasy.

This socialist ideal of providing luxury goods to the poor masses for cheap is exactly the problem. If the world would be more capitalist, we wouldn’t subsidise the meat industries and the poor would be forced to buy beans.

In germany we have the saying: „to wash you hands in innocence.“ I guess thats what that was about.

Veganism is extremely capitalistic, because it relies on supply and demand to change the amount of animal suffering that is/was produced.

The Wikipedia page mentions that the massacre didn’t happen directly on the square, but in an ally next to it. Most deaths happened in other parts of the city. Choosing a name that is not 100% accurate is not fascist propaganda.

Maybe this is a way to deal with dictatorships. They are so hard to change from within… the top has to be afraid to die when they give up power and violent revolutions from the bottom are often ending in a different but worse dictatorship. I don’t see America colonise Venezuela. Maybe they are coming up with new solutions. Sure, democracies can benefit from dictatorships, cheap resource etc., but they are also kind of annoying. Its not like democracies are really dependent on recourses. They can just decided to do whatever they want. Especially if they are as rich as the Americans.
