MODERATOR OF

Here's how things will go:

1.) I will prioritize users that were/are engaging with this community in on-topic manner.

2.) I will prioritize users that don't have (much) controversial history.

3.) I will prioritize users that have regular activity on their account to make sure things will be actually moderated.

4.) I will prioritize users that don't moderate many communities.

5.) You can share something simple about what would you like to do with the community. For example keeping it like it was so far and just moderating titles, spam, and some posts that really lack any 'hmmm' value. Or changing the rules a bit and adding "nothing political" alongside other things. Up to you to share your views. I don't expect anything long, just something short and on point.

6.) I will not pay attention to the votes on applications although I may look into it if the user gets downvoted to see if there's a reason.

7.) I will pick 2 moderators next day to ensure a better moderation coverage. Doesn't matter if those mods decide to recruit some other users from the application.

Would be good if at least one mod had an account on LW because there are report federation issues (should be fixed in lemmy v1) and mod action taking issues. For example I can't moderate or demote someone using an account that's on a remote instance to the community AFAIK. Other actions like content removals/bans should work but who knows when even if the OP themselves removes the post it can have a federation hiccup and not federate to other instances.

Hmmmmm, what is this one about?

How do you even create one? When I'm trying to make one and pick the communities I can't move to the next step. When moving back using my phone's navigation button it takes me out from the creator and loses the data.

Edit: I figured it out. Kinda confusing behavior tbh.

This one doesn't really give me any "hmmm" unlike the very long ssd one. I can't tell what is and what isn't ai anymore and we don't have "no ai" rule as of now but as a precaution I will say that it's better to not post too much of it and vary the prompts because I don't want the community to turn into ai images community. 🧐

Lemmy is full of bad news, hate and toxicity while pixelfed is full of artists and people sharing cool pictures and their passion. Visiting my pixelfed account from 2023 a few days ago set such a contrast with what I see on lemmy that I started using it regularly. It really felt weird to visit such a wholesome place after using lemmy for a long time. Now I use pixelfed to balance out the bad stuff from lemmy for maintaining my mental health and to appreciate the art which is not common on lemmy.

This is how I got introduced to this and it made me realise some things. If people have better materials then they should share them instead and not reject the topic completely. Especially on a niche community that hasn't seen any posts in over 2 months.

Gotta love how people (very probably from outside community) blindly downvote the post despite it being relevant to the community. Lemmy genuinely sucks in that regard because it makes it hard to engage with niche communities...

I'm pretty sure they would say that ukraine shouldn't exsist anyway because the US propaganda is taking over them or whatever.

I think ADHD is a horrible name for it.

Rather that saying that as an opinion say that as if it was an objective truth because it is one. It is truly a terrible name for the disorder because it's named after how we inconvenience neurotypicals and not after our struggles. It should either describe our struggles properly or have a serious sounding neutral name where people won't be assuming things about the disorder.

Yeah, it actually really depends on your level of understanding ADHD.

Same, when I write even the simple things I check them multiple times to only still send something that has errors in it...
