Arch is amazing for what it is, hence the love. It’s what you make of it; by default there’s nothing and you design your own system from scratch. This leads to a very passionate and enthusiastic community who do great work for one another, for everybody’s benefit. Anything under the sun can be found in the AUR, the distro repos are fresh and reliable, and every issue that arises has a hundred people documenting the fix before it’s patched.
Ubuntu has a bad reputation for inconsistency, privacy invasive choices, etc. I don’t think all the hate is deserved, as they corrected course after the Amazon search fiasco, but I still won’t use it because of Snaps. They have a proprietary backend, so even if I wanted to put up with their other strange design decisions I can’t unless I wanted closed source repos. That goes against my whole philosophy and reasoning for being on Linux to begin with, and many feel the same.
A lot more people have android phones than iphones that’s all that is. If anything iOS is overrepresented
This is so ignorant lmao
Same I was born in a car
THEYRE FUCKING DOING IT LETS GOOO
Horrible… I hope Iran has the resources to double down on its missile strikes compared to operation true promise 2. And I hope they’ve got a clandestine aspect to their nuclear program as a contingent. There’s really no better guarantor of sovereignty or defense against invasion, as proven by the example of the DPRK, and counterexamples of the Libyan jamahariya and Baathist Iraq
Recent assaults on Chasiv Yar and Pokrovsk have proved that Russia is prepared to expend troops, weapons and time trying to capture cities even if they have little strategic value.
It’s so funny to me that every contested city is the turning point of the war and the keystone to Ukrainian defenses until the moment Russia is poised to seize it, when it becomes a useless objective, little more than dirt, low strategic value etc. It happened with Avdiivka, Bakhmut, and now with Pokrovsk and Chasiv Yar. If these settlements have so little tactical value then why are the Banderites expending so many men and resources to defend them in the first place…
“The center of gravity for this war is not terrain—the place where it’s being decisively waged is the perception space in Western capitals,” said Barros.
When it’s definitely not a proxy war
GrapheneOS is a security focused project so they only publish for devices which meet their hardware security requirements. In the past this included a few non Google devices, but as of today only Pixels meet those requirements in the Android space. The Fairphone has poor hardware security
I absolutely recommend switching to Linux, it’s a truly liberating computing experience. However if you have to stick on windows and want to go LTSC, this document from massgrave makes it really easy and even provides the direct ISO download from Microsoft.
