Yes I did lmfao, thanks for calling that out

[โ€“] OsrsNeedsF2P@lemmy.ml 3 points 8 hours ago

Thank you for the update!!

See this thread as an example. Looks great on Lemmy UI, but in Boost it's hard to read: https://latta.ai/ourmission/

Edit: I'm an idiot that's the wrong link

What client are you using? Boost is totally screwing up the references display

On average, around 3.5 new videos were uploaded to the platform every hour, many of which were previously unknown to law enforcement.

Absolutely sick and vile. I hope they honey potted the site and that the arrests keep coming.

Yea anyways. Back here on planet earth where people are making businesses for money, US contracts are hella worth it.

Folks, is having a Gmail account the same as deleting emails off your own server after getting a subpoena, or do I not care about the truth as long as I can defend Democrats

Ok but you skipped over the part where her technician deleted emails after getting a subpoena

Edit: also fact check, no it was not standard for any other Secretary of State to use their own server. Hilary was the only one to do that: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2016/mar/10/hillary-clinton/hillary-clinton-said-my-predecessors-did-same-thin/

Hilary managed her own server and wiped the contents after getting a subpoena. Unless I'm missing something major, these are very different things

Literally yes, that's why they were made.

Welcome to capitalism. If you don't like it, don't try to fix it, the system is working as intended.

Not really the message since the US pays big bucks for contracting, and these companies make a lot of money off it

Give them a one star and let them know why

I've seen a few people on Lemmy get this right, but no, this is not the same thing. Hilary was running her own email server, which allowed her to erase communications with no oversight. The Trump admin did something similar with Signal, but using Gmail is not the same problem

Posting Reddit links where people are looking for alternatives/discussing Lemmy is great, since those of us who quit Reddit for Lemmy superiority can't tell people Lemmy is superior.

HOWEVER, be slightly cautious of brigading:

  1. To prevent brigading, Reddit stops counting upvotes on posts if people come from an external link, upvote quickly, and leave
  2. Reddit has previously banned links to rdrama.net due to excessive brigading - This would be bad if it happened to Lemmy
  3. We don't necessarily want to catch some power tripping Reddit admin to shadowban Lemmy shills

Basically, keep posting, but don't overdo it in a given subreddit, and maybe give a slight warning to not make a brigade obvious

Skyvern is an open source (AGPL) AI agent that can complete tasks on the web.

Here's an example of Skyvern being asked to "Compare iPhone Pro Models": https://eval.skyvern.com/wpid_348574331532282024/wr_348574331532282026/overview

It can:

  • Search the modern web
  • Log in to websites, bypass captchas
  • Fetch the latest information
  • Handle error messages or new layouts

I've tried it out for a few things, but imo it's prohibitively expensive; that said, it's quite cool for doing things that scrapers cannot (one of the main use cases right now is it can apply to jobs for you). I've been following them for a few months, but I'm excited to see where they are in a few years
