I sure hope so. Colbert is a pompous dick.

They certainly got what they asked for.
Be careful what you wish for 'cause you just might get it.
Why would anyone think that it would be taken down? The one thing Bethesda is good at is encouraging people to mod their games. It's the only reason why I didn't give up on them as a company after those two disasters called Fallout 76 and Starfield. (But to be fair my patience is running thin. ES6 and FO5 both have got to be absolute smash hits.)
I only know about them because I am an SDR (shortwave radio) enthusiast. They seem to only have a presence outside of the US.
I make the same amount and I can concur; the only time I drink coffee is when I get it for free at work.
Because I don't want to run hardware that needs to operate in realtime over a USB 2.0 connection through a VM. I have digital turntables with high-resolution platters. These are precision instruments that require the absolute lowest DPC latency obtainable; I need to eliminate as much overhead as I can, and have my equipment running as close to the bare metal as I can get from a modern OS.
Hell yeah, another HDR lover on Lemmy! Now there's two of us!
That's the main reason why I use Win11 as my primary OS. 10's HDR support is half-assed, and KDE's is even worse. Linux doesn't even support nVidia GPUs properly, so SDR-to-HDR conversion is missing for both YouTube and local videos. And since Win10 doesn't have AutoHDR for games, that leaves 11 as my only choice if I want to play games and watch videos in HDR with minimal hassle.
(edit: And yes I know that converting to HDR isn't as good as real HDR; but IDC cause it looks amazing to me, especially in the highlights.)
I would but my DJ gear is over a decade old and none of it is compatible with Linux. It won't even run on a modern CPU without crashing Serato, so I use an old laptop with a 4th gen i5 running LTSC to power my turntables and mixer; it all runs smooth as butter on period-correct hardware.
Eventually I will get new gear and try to get it working in Linux, but I don't have thousands to drop right now on updated hardware, so I make do with what I have.
I remember the 90s but I'm not British, so that explains things.
Thanks for the reply.
Meanwhile my dorky furball comes when called and greets me at the door. He even jumps on people. I think he accidentally had dog software installed at the factory.
His name is James (because he wears a tux) and he is a dapper gentleman:
Never heard of it. When/where is it from?
Those are still a thing? I adblocked them a long time ago.
