Yup. I was on a golf course in Florida and over heard some republicans talking about. One Said “He has always been a crook, the question is will he do what we want him to do”.

Your are asking two separate questions.

Question one: Was America surprised when he was re elected?

Yes, because the first time was a shit show of horror, and at least half the country couldn't believe the other half wanted that to happen again, regardless of how bad a candidate Kamala was.

Question two: Are all politicians liars and cheat?

Yes, but Trump is several orders of magnitude worse than all the others combined. Openly soliciting bribes and publicly accepting and wallowing in them. All while using the constitution to wipe his ass and just laugh.

It really come down to scale, all the shit the Clintons and bushes and even Nixon have done just dont hold a candle to the lawless murder and greed trump is engaged in. Nothing like this has occurred before in the modern era. And remember, I'm including the illegal secret war Nixon created.

Already been done.

Revelation 11:18 in the King James Version states: "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."

They just ignore it.

No, I don't think that will do anything but mildly inconvenience them.

We had these chiller units at the lab I used to work at. They are built like a tank, the only vulnerable part is the two pipes carrying water in and out of the building. Plus our security people insisted we surround the chiller with a twelve foot fence topped with barbed wire.

But even if you do shoot out one of the pipes, all that happens is an alarm goes off the and the system does and orderly shuts down. Our system was installed by the lowest bidder and failed all the time, no really problem.

So if you were to do this, all you have done is risk your life and liberty to mildly annoy the powers that be. You'd be more effective running for local government and cutting them off from the municipal water system.

Plus these building aren't wood, they are steel and concrete, you can't even burn them down. Only a transient power event, that overwhelms the surge protection would do any harm.

Say like covertly putting up a lightning rod and running a wire to the building.

But they know they are hated, and these places are well guarded. You will never get close to one. I just don't see a realistic way to do any damage except through the power line running into the building. Maybe via a substation.

As nice as it is to fantasize about this stuff, you're attacking a fortified fixed position. They know you are coming, and law enforcement and government is on their side. Seems like a suicide mission.

Isn't that what they always have done?

The whole point of the klan is to keep black people down with terror and fear.

It won't matter. They care more about gas prices than the heat. They will crawl back to fossil fuel on their hands and knees just to get a little more economic growth.

One can only hope that there really is a network of people ready to fire bomb these places.

Which brings up the question. How do you bypass the surge suppressors for a data center and cause a power spike that destroys all the ai chips. Asking for a friend.

Such a shame. I was hoping it would be more.

Edit: A little bit of context. I have a friend who is Russian and every year travels back there for a couple of week to see to her 80 year old mothers needs.

The Russians are not some poor oppressed people who were dragged to war against their wishes. They are overwhelming in support of Putin and everything he has done. (up to now at least). They are the Russian equivalent of maga. They drank the koolaid and only now when things are going bad do they regret it. If the war turns back in their favor with will be out cheering in the streets. I have zero pity for these people.

I work with the army for about 30 years, and this demonstrates one of the greatest things I learned.

Namely: If you want to find the one person in the room who has no idea what is going on, find the highest ranking officer. They really do live in a separate reality disconnected from logic and reason.

So back when I worked in Huntsville I had a friend named Ron and a coworker whose name escapes me. Let's call him Bob. Even though it annoys me not to be able to remember bob's real name.

So bob was a hunter, and had a deer stand across the river somewhere near Laceys Spring. When you cross the river and head south, you hear banjo's really quickly. I've seen entire valleys covered in nothing but kudzu over there. It was like an alien horror movie. Really weird vibe.

But that was where the deer were, so that is where Bob hunted.

One day Bob confessed to Ron that he'd seen some really weird stuff out there. He refused to really elaborate, but we got the impression it was really hair and made weird vocalizations. Maybe a black bear walking on it's hind legs?

Now you have to realize, this isn't that far from Arab Alabama. One of the most racist, hairy and vocal populations in a state full of rednecks. They like to ride around waving the confederate battle flag and doing the rebel yell. So hearing weird noises echoing off the hills not that surprising.

But Ron did some internet digging, and found some web pages that handle weird shit and printed them out and handed them to Bob.

Bob really freaked, and started babbling about things that walked like a man but were all hairy and definitely not human.

He got really really upset and never went back.

I don't blame him, even driving my ford explorer through all those back roads gave me the creeps. Deserted homesteads, shacks with confederate flags. You couldn't pay me enough to get out of the SUV and walk into those woods.

Ron's dead now, cancer, and I think so is Bob. But I thought I'd share their story. If I remember more I'll post them.

We know how we are handling space exploration. We send robot probes. So once you get good at space travel. You set up automated factories on an asteroid and just churn out probes. Scattering them all over the universe looking for radio waves, nuclear explosion and polluted planets.

Imagine what it must have looked like to the swarms of interstellar probe cruising between the stars, when we detonated Ivy Mike or when the Russians detonated the Tsar Bomba. They would all come running like moths to a flame.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Bomba

I feel I should point out that the civilizations who did this are probably long dead or just don't care what the probes found. After thousands of years they are gone or have moved on. The probes are just on auto pilot.

Trump puts ‘Project Freedom’ on hold, saying he hopes to finalise a deal with Iran

US president says he is pausing US effort to guide stranded vessels out of the strait of Hormuz but blockade remains Mark Saunokonoko and agencies Tue 5 May 2026 20.55 EDT Prefer the Guardian on Google

Donald Trump announced he is pausing ‘Project Freedom’, the US effort to guide stranded vessels out of the strait of Hormuz, so he can finalise a deal with Iran, but added that his blockade of Iranian ports would remain in place.

Trump’s abrupt change of plan was declared in a social media post, saying he was pausing the effort for “a short period” to give space for US efforts to finalise a settlement with Iran to end the war.

Despite Project Freedom only launching Monday, Trump said he’d made the move based “on the request of Pakistan and other Countries, the tremendous Military Success that we have had during the Campaign against the Country of Iran and, additionally, the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement with Representatives of Iran”. Iran is yet to comment.

In these times of economic turmoil it's important to remember that famine is a recurring part of human history. And that time and time again, people have turned to wood as a solution.

Properly prepared, sawdust in particular, is a great way to stretch out those lean meals. Whether it is as a filler in meatloaf and burgers, or as a thickening agent in soups and stews.

It has also been used historically for bread making. https://selfsufficientprojects.com/people-used-to-eat-these-during-famines/

Now it is important to properly prepare your wood, so as to avoid intestinal injury. What you want is sawdust, not a block of wood, and not splinters and twigs. Be sure to sift the saw dust through a screen to remove larger pieces and splinters. The finer the grind the better.

Also, be sure to pick the right tree for the right job. Maple is quite sweet, while oak, with its tannins is quite bitter. While walnut can be quite aromatic, and fruit trees will taste like their respective fruits. The needles of the pine tree can be made into a tasty tea high in vitamin C. The Sassafras tree has its own unique flavor, and use to be used for making root beer.

Avoid using unidentified trees and shrubs. Some can be poisonous, like hemlock and the American chestnut (often called a horse chestnut). Always check your pocket edition edible wood guide before consuming questionable shrubbery and trees.

I hope this handy guide can be useful in this trying times.
