In this case he is correct. Ask any economist about Navarro and you will likely be told the same

In this case it is 100% fair and accurate. Navarro has championed these tariffs for years now

To be fair if you polled the Kent Clark Center/Initiative on Global Markets, which is a collection of the most preeminent economists hosted by the University of Chicago, you would almost certainly have the same result.

Exactly, I would get if you work for a company that just got involved in the military fields but this is microsoft.

If you are in tech getting hired by microsoft you should have options

They had IDF contracts for decades as well. Seriously if they had a problem with this and this is not a PR stunt by this person they are choosing an odd time to make this statement.

most Americans

I’d argue “many people” is more appropriate

In my case it’s just easier to work towards not eating meat as the plant substitutes are almost immediately rejected. The impossible burger I ate went through my system in a span that was so quick my gastroenterologist figured my body went “nope”

And what specifically have you done?

Which suggests we aren’t that progressive

Are the empty barrels even affected by tariffs on bourbon? Are you just worrying there may not be enough barrels overall because bourbon demand dries up?

both

Is the barrel question time-sensitive? Or could they just wait until EU & US have finished coming to terms with each other?

They could wait but it would impact production overall spiking the prices even more including outside the ISA for sherry and Scotch.

Would people even notice if their spirits were aged in neutral barrels but with wood chips thrown in for flavor?

Most would as you would get more of he overt wood flavor and less of things like butter, cream, cocoa, nutty flavors that barrels impart.

Would that produce a naming issue (i.e. the EU forbidding these products from being sold as sherry or scotch?

Neither require bourbon barrels they just use them because they are less expensive than other oak barrels.

For a slice of US Gen X we can remember our parents having us all gather to watch this when it aired on TV. I was at a dinner party with like 20 kids total all under 13 years old. When the scene we all remember from this movie happened it was pure chaos for like 30 minutes. I remember my best friend’s dad, who was my priest, saying “Gee whiz! Why in the name of all that is holy would they put a bunny cartoon on prime time and kill the bunny without warning everyone!” Never heard a man say “Gee Whiz” with that much vitriol.

Is it time het guys? Is it time?

Im looking for something that isn’t gender specific but carries the same inherent disdain that “techbro” has.
