Clear, concise, and with respect. That seems exceptional for a modern parent.

Yeah, it's funny. But, OP, please tell him he's awesome for me.

Seeing the ban coming, they financed and suffered alpha and beta of the Lemmy platform we all enjoy. Then, they chose to become the most GLBTQ+ friendly destination on the internet.

As it's always been, they cope with the horrible events with satirical, sarcastic humor. And, in the middle of that will be a well-reasoned, nuanced, and quite serious post.

But, perhaps the part I like most is the struggle sessions. The entire community will heavily focus on a current topic, then hash it out with good faith discussion.

Their shit isn't convenient or comfortable. It's not easy to understand. And, I fucking love them for it.

edit: Lazy coders need choose a randomized target value and timing or be a moderator to avoid detection by the user. Perceiving is easy when your code is trash. Ask for help from an industrial engineer.

Would you mind sharing your active user count?

Yeah. I'm one of them. The shallow understanding of white moderates is our greatest obstacle. I'd rather have Trump so you must also suffer. Then, when you're actually suffering, you may be also motivated to do more than cast a vote for the "lesser evil", then forget, again.

They're the same fucking picture.

I did some guided underwater caving myself in coastal reefs in Egypt.

I've been in tight caves, skydived and may soon buy an ultralight, climb without a rope (class 3ish) with fatal fall exposure, etc. I've managed to stay alive because of heavy risk assessment and mitigation efforts.

Cave diving is a whole different category of risk. I'd never attempt it. As a hobby it's certain death. Please say something about this in your post above.

Thirty years ago I spent three months as a USGS intern as part of a team taking depth readings on explored portions of caves.

What makes Mammoth so cool is the huge size of the passages. But, I don't think I'd have been nearly as impressed if I'd not spend three months mostly crawling through the tiny passageways that comprise the vast majority of most caves.

Wyandott cave once ran a 12 hour 2 person + 2 guide tour into the tighter areas. If they're still running that tour then I highly recommend it. At the time, it was damned near impossible to ever see a cave in that way unless you had a friend already hooked into the spelunking community.

What's proprietary on a bike trailer?

I'm new to trailers, own a 14' enclosed tandem. The only thing that's kinda fucked is the quad-square screw drive on the self-drilling screws from floor panel to frame.

In the early 1900s a sixteen boy year in rural America knew how to drive, to shoot, and to run the entire farm. If he wanted to set out west to make his own way there was a good chance his parents already viewed him as a man capable.

A sixteen year old in the city didn't know how to live in the city or the boonies. They knew nothing of firearms or why the rural kid needs one.

All that's changed is a lot more people now live in cities.
