I’ve had the same hp laserjet pro printer, just checked Amazon, since March 2015. It has worked without issue through various windows, iOS, and Linux systems. Using native drivers, cups, and the web interface on my lan. I would argue it is one of the most reliable and dependable devices I’ve owned and has maintained compatibility with anything and everything without requiring anything be done to it other than I’m on my third cartridge that I purchased a pack of 2 of for $26.98 in October of 2021 which still seem to sell for $25… I may just order another pack.

I don’t understand the persistent whining about printers. If you need color or graphics send them to CVS or some shit to have them printed on a professional quality printer and paper for less than it used to cost to develop a roll of film or print it off at work on a high end laser color printer. I can’t believe people still piss their money away on throw away ink jet printers. I know otherwise seemingly intelligent people that can’t be swayed that they are actually throwing money away because “I got a new printer for less than the ink cost!!!”, yeah dumbass, you are generating e-waste and getting cartridges with barely any ink in them, you didn’t decode the matrix.
Printers are of exceptional quality in my experience.
Edit: I also spent just under two years navigating up the system admin ranks as a printer admin and managed almost 300 laser printers supporting over 3,000 users and I’m fairly certain most issues admins create for themselves, or had a prior admin create for them, because they aren’t willing to really understand how to setup a print server and just make it work asap. Once the server(s) and printers are setup and configured correctly the only maintenance any of those printers required was after well over 100k pages.
And it only took one comment
They can keep all the other stuff if they are giving me 6,400 million dollars
Might not be a bad idea, anything beyond a single HELOC gets taxed 25% off the top, or something else that someone smarter about economics than I would certainly be able to come up with.
If you steal the holy water and then drink a bunch of it don’t you get Holy powers or something though? Chug the whole thing down then take over the church. Once you have access to all the holy water for free it’s just a matter of time before you become a god yourself.
This huge asshole sat on the park bench next to me a few years ago. We got to talking, apparently he was run off the road by this truck while the driver was fuming and flipping him off. Supposedly this left him wheelchair bound for a few months and his wife had him served with divorce papers during physical therapy, then a few weeks later his boss fired him for having a poor attitude. I guess he was between houses or something after that because these cops dragged him off that very park bench we were sitting on at night and hauled him to jail. I tried to tell him that he really needs to stop being so negative, that if he didn’t always complain about stuff and make other peoples lives harder he would probably be happier. I don’t think he is the kind of person to listen though, one of those “the world revolves around me” kind of guys.
That's a good read. I would have used my dagger to steal so much holy water. From the videos I watched there was nothing making sure a proper coin was used in the holy water vending machine.
The first known vending machine, created in the 1st century CE by Hero of Alexandria, dispensed holy water. This invention predates the modern concept of vending machines by nearly 2,000 years, making it seem anachronistic in ancient history.[5]
I don’t feel anything positive when I complete stuff. It makes daily chores exceptionally difficult. The only coping mechanism I’ve found that kind of works is a stupid little game I made on my home assistant dashboard. I get a point every time I complete a task and every six hours it deducts a point. I have it track current and high score. I have a high score of 24 because one weekend I got fed up at myself for spending weeks never getting more than 3 points. I’m sitting down around 10 points now as I try to slowly prevent the score from trickling all the way to zero. I don’t even require it to be a big task either. Take out trash, cook a meal, do dishes, clean out fridge, clean counters, burn boxes. Everything I do feels like an internal battle for me to do and once I’m done I know I’m just going to have to do it again. Oh yay, did the laundry, good thing that’s just going to need done again in a week. I don’t even enjoy eating, everything is a constant stream of chores and bs that doesn’t accomplish anything.
I was explaining why my comment wasn’t incorrect, it’s not like I took offense to anything. I didn’t expand on anything other than clarifying to the person who obviously didn’t see the original post. Go fuck yourself.
They edited it and fixed it now, just didn’t state why they edited.
That person is an idiot without any actual real world experience. Good on you for sharing useful information. I’ve had colleagues and employees like him lose their job before even being hooked up because of their shit attitude and my advice to folks boils down to the same. Be respectful, be transparent, even if embarrassing (there is nothing they haven’t heard before), and just give your “yes”, “no”. Best case you don’t see them again for 3-5 years, worst case it’s inconclusive and they will run it again a couple times and you will be more used to what’s expected. Go in with a shit attitude with your head up your ass and nobody is feeling bad that you pissed away a salary/job security perk and will never think about you again after a weeks time as they press on checking the box and taking care of themselves.
