It's not because your neighbour smokes and drink that you should do so

17 year old ? Still live with her parents ? It's not a 2 persons relationship, but a 4 persons relationship, which make stuff way more complicated especially when it's with parents and she isn't independent yet.

There should never be any funding from any government for any religious schools whatsoever, anywhere in the world

This is a historical defeat from the french left, most likely since the 1905 secularists laws. Private (often religious) school, have the the possibility to be agreed by the state, in that case the teacher are paid by the ministry of education but have follow the official curriculum and accept to be audited by the ministry of education. The "private part" is only about the building, and the extra activity, which may (or not) include religious course. Technically there is some non religious private school but most of them would be Catholic (mostly jesuits) and a few of them would be Muslim or Jewish, but many parents put their kids there either to bypass the "school district map" (when the neighbourhood isn't nice enough to get a good school) or when they're kid grades are borderline to be accepted in high-school, in that case paying will help (With some of these schools being the place where kids learn to grow weed, get laid, party and barely graduate, but they didn't go to vocational school

Last attempt to stop this funding of private school by taxpayer money was in the 80's or 90's and put all the right wing in the street. I doubt a left wing government will burn their crediblity on that issue. (And politically wise, I am rather putting all right wing on the street on a tax reform or on housing prices rather than on school)

Unlike proprietary social media, there isn't an algorithm showing "tailored content for you" too which you add "way less users" and no "big influencers"

To have content, you should subscribe to more communities, also please feel free to post content in order to create some conversations

While I hate that we have to increase the defence spending, at least it's creating job in Europe, and supporting the European technology sector rather than the money spent abroad. Moreover, I would love to see the European defence industry having enough revenues to afford telling Sunnii-petro-monarchy to fuck off rather than having to sell money to people who bomb civilian and sentence gays to death.

According to wikipedia, there is rougly 2.5 Billions of Christians with half of them being catholic, moreover the Catholic church is a relatively centralised religion giving a lot of power to the Pope compared to other religious leaders. So I can't think about many religious leader having that much global authority.

I Wouldn't be surprised that the death of Ayattolah Khamanei will also quite a big news. However, while pretending to be "a religious leader" he is also the de facto political leader of Iran

People travel to China because there is nice stuff to see and great food to try. While US doesn't have the great food they have the nice stuff to see and are still way better than China.

Realistically speaking, she's most likely somehow sponsored by big pharma (Well considering that it's imaging, it's more the interesection between big tech and big pharma, not sure where to put health division of GE or Siemens) , and cancer treatment/dianostic bring them a lot of money so they like cancer research.

Bicycle lanes are always a chicken/egg problem, If you build safe bicycle lanes (and not just drop some painting on the road without changing anything else) you'll drag more cyclist, which in the end let more space on the road for people who really need it. It's annoying for the car-drivers, but it's not like car aren't annoyance for the rest of the population either. Too many cities gave the priority to car in absurd proportions.

Regarding traffic code, it's a complicated topic, there is some minor changes of rules which are really making cycling more efficient, I am thinking about the right-turn on red or the dual way bike-lane in single-way street (when technically possible). On the other hand, some cyclists indeed ignore every possible regulation, all while not having the experience to understand what's safe and what isn't

My hot take is that we get full automated commercial plane before single pilot.

Single pilot means that there is no way to avoid an air Berlin like mass murder (and being locked alone in a cockpit doesn't sounds great for mental health). No pilot means less risk to have such a scenario

Sure we need risk analysis (accident caused by humans versus humans preventing accident) and most likely newer ATC protocols, and some upgrade in equipments, but I doubt there it a major obstacle.

Many of us, have read GM-sections in RPG, RPG blogs, forum discussions, and sometimes books about the storytelling art.

All of these contains tons of interesting tips/techniques (and some will contradict each other, you don't GM a gritty mega-dungeon and high-school drama game the same way), so I am curious which ones are your favourite and how do you use them in your game
