you seem to be mistaking this for hubris. The CCP means to use the finding of the next Dalai Lama as a tool to further destroy Tibetan culture and identity, as they have done with the Panchen Lama.

To me, this indicates that he is feeling more confident in their ability to find the first(?) Dalai Lama outside of occupied Tibet - and keep them safe from abduction.

All my non profit/charity donations are informed by Effective Altruism. I'm very much against inefficient or highly bureaucratic organizations where 98c of your € goes to maintaining a monolith.

EA's recommendations are based on: Extreme effectiveness, Research based practices, and Third-party evaluation.

Strongly recommend them as a way to make sure your donations impact the most lives.

+1 to eggs! I dream of having chickens but have heard it's a game of pros and cons

i was hoping someone would say this as well! heaps of evidence out there about tonnes of adulterated olive oils. usually with cheap hyper-processed seed oils

Prices keep climbing, so I’m trying to pick my battles in the supermarket. Which items do you refuse to cheap out on, and why? Taste, health, longevity, peace of mind… I’d love to hear what’s worth the few extra dollars for you.

For me, it’s honey from local beekeepers—supermarket brands locally are known to sell fake or adulterated sugar syrup as honey.

Will Macron be well received? Asking with no context on Danish/Greenland & French relations with the memory of US VP being (rightfully) snubbed.

I say Ciao rather often while living in an english speaking country. Rethinking this after getting roasted for this in the new show Stick. Never thought of it as being anything other than natural, having also spent time living in a few spanish speaking countries. Don't want to come across any type of way so thinking about rolling back my usage.

Where does this fall on the spectrum of Differences in Opinion - We're Evil Now?

just migrated to Organic Maps from maps.me and would prefer to not have to export and import and adapt to new UI again
