Sounds like iDescriptor needs a "happy customers"-style quote section on their GitHub.

They could have put php up the top where it belongs.

Samsung's keyboard history is sketchy as. Even when you select everything and 'delete' it from the history you can STILL PASTE. Like dude. I know some people find keyboard history useful but I don't want it, just a huge security risk.

The intro to Burn Notice will play in my head whenever I see someone wearing sunglasses. Super cosy for sure, such a great cast.

Loved that show. From memory it started getting weird in later seasons but then wrapped up in a semi-satisfying way? Might have to.... starts looking for the box set

Yeah, switched from a NVIDIA card, purged all NVIDIA packages, made sure AMD wasn't blacklisted and then tried installing the mesa freeworld packages from RPM Fusion.

But - I'm not sure what's happened but I ran dnf update tonight and rebooted and now everything's working and hardware acceleration is back on and running snappy. I got a notice that Plasma had updated to a new version, so maybe something relating to that fixed it? I could have sworn I ran updates after replacing the GPU and uninstalling the drivers.

But you lose one of your socks every time you teleport and they're like really cool unique ones that only work as a pair. Heartbreaking.

I picked up an AMD 9060 XT the other week and tested it out by dual-booting Bazzite. Helldivers 2, TRYP FPV Drone Racing, Mud Runner all ran as expected, it was wicked.

"Nice," I thought, "This works great, time to boot back into Fedora."

And... not so nice? Apparently Fedora doesn't have hardware acceleration when using AMD GPUs and a bunch of the apps I normally use are whinging about it. It was fine with the older NVIDIA card I had been using but I wasn't getting the performance benefits of gamescope.

Dabbled in the dark arts of trying to swap mesa drivers to the freeworld one and ended up nuking my login screen so probably going to have to roll back. I thought Bazzite was based on Silver Blue so kinda confused, I guess they've done some AMD-friendly tweaks?

Edit: Thanks for all the help everyone. I was on Fedora 42 and after installing updates today it started working again. I really wish I new what specifically was causing the issue.

The boss walks in, there's someone on the phone for you:

  • Phone: "Hi, I'm the leader person behind that book/television/film franchise you complain about online and gee-whiz, you're right! We want you to run things from here on out."
  • You: "Do I get supreme retcon powers?"
  • Phone: "Of course! We'll even retroactively edit in your changes!"

Huh, that was easy. What are you changing?
