This. The number of people (real people, not internet people) I know who just keep using Chrome or other Google products without care is shocking.

For real though. I had the thought earlier today of how I could reduce my internet usage to text only and try and skip all the bullshit. Might be tough but I'm not seeing another way. At least I'd still be able to access things like Wikipedia.

Between AI killing the idea of "believe what you can see" and ads/tracking being forced on every part of the internet, the end is very, very near.

And it should upset everyone, because the internet was not designed for this. We (the people) ultimately paid to develop what is being taken over by corpos for profit.

Oh I'm not suggesting Gates is a good person. He just shouldn't be testifying before certain other folks have.

Reading through the article, it looks like they accounted for relative age here. It's not all that surprising, since it is well known that Intel Macs run hotter than ARM Macs. That extra / higher amplitude heat cycling has to cause some increased failure rate.

brave

I cannot fathom why anyone would be using Brave browser, but it's not really fair to claim this is a Linux problem.

nvidia

Nvidia are famously anti-Linux/pro-MS and their drivers are notoriously hard to get working on Linux. Again, not a Linux problem per se, and many people simply use AMD instead (because the drivers are in the kernel, no installation needed). YMMV, but if you had games working, you probably had drivers working, so it sounds like this isn't actually related to your issue.

i had same problem on windows

Again, issue with Brave. Use a better browser.

Isn't it interesting how so many countries are pushing the same batshit agenda concurrently? Almost like there's a single overlord.

The US regularly allows trolls to run for office as a part of a greater DEI initiative

It's practical for us hermits, lol

There is an approval process, but it's very much about matching the game you are selling to the claims about it on the store page. It's not really about content beyond that.

Of course, because right-wing conspiracy theorists are all in over Bill Gates, and they think he's controlling the world through a shadow cabal.

Any other high-profile people in the Epstein files that might be a better choice? Sitting Presidents, perhaps? Or even sleeping ones?

Daihatsu Midget II.

A Japanese kei-truck. It's ugly but oh-so-functional. I like function over form.
