It makes sense for me. Thanks!

DuckDuckGo summary: “Liquid Glass is a new design language introduced by Apple for its operating systems, including iOS 26, which features a translucent and dynamic interface that adapts to content and lighting. This design aims to create a more unified and visually appealing experience across all Apple devices.”

I just want to know what happened with the other 6 iOS versions. They got lost on the way up!

Here you go. The apps she tried (as per her video description):

“BrandSnap - scan a product and find out if it’s made in the EU or made by a megacorp

Youro - the platform that has gathered the best European brands

Vinted - secondhand fashion without the funky thrift store smell

TooGoodToGo - for rescuing food like a superhero

Olio - share leftovers and pantry finds

Giki Zero - calculate and cut your carbon footprint

Ailuna - set sustainability challenges

Yuka - scan food and cosmetics for health risks”

Did you try Joplin instead of Notesnook? It’s from France and completely FOSS and for free.

Add it a couple of ad banners, and you will have a queue of investors. And I did not mention yet the AI, which could be for the second round of funding…

Edit: Of course I’m being sarcastic. BTW, I like the haptic gloves idea.

There is another project from the UK, that seems pretty promising: https://mwmbl.org/ https://alpha.mwmbl.org/ (a much nicer UI)

For those who don’t know the service, Made O'Meter is an experimental app from Denmark that's completely free and ad-free, created to support Europe, Canada, and friend nations around the world. Using the power of AI, the app estimates where products are made. While it's not always spot-on, it's a great way to get a better idea of a product's origins.

The last version was delivering wrong information about the origin of certain products, then it was put on hold by its creators, who apparently solved the issue with this new version.

It is lactose free. However, I understand your point. The price for milk has just increased considerably, and we still don’t understand why exactly.

Indeed! Føtex has done it, I was just this morning over there, and found it:

And it seems they were a bit further by marking US products:
