Conrail should have continued as the government owning the rail and letting the other railroads use the track. As in, Amtrak should have been the rolling stock, and Conrail should have been the rail. It was not a nationwide railroad, but that owning it was the right thing to do. Selling it was the wrong thing to do. The government is constantly spending money with the railroads to maintain the rail and do upgrades.

My dad had a wound pump from a bed sore. The wound was terrible. It had developed a an awful smell. No amount of antibiotics ever fixed it. My dad eventually died. Not because of the wound... Well, yeah, but it is ultimately that, was decades of diabetes and being overweight.

In the USA, it would be to metric. Pretty much everywhere else in the US, NASA, military, science, it's all metric.
