My recommendation is Language Transfer, a freely-available system for multiple languages that, in my opinion, helps you to think in another language better than any other system I have tried.

Back in the early 1980s, one of my friends was taking a high school English class where they had to read Bleak House. He was not much of a reader, and there was no way he was going to read 1100 pages.

I asked him questions about the book, the basic plot structure and the characters, then I wrote an essay for him including the kind of mistakes that I thought he would make.

He got about the mark that he was expecting, and paid me 20 bucks or something.

You are right, but I'm not sure if the intelligence was built into the command to recognize it as a root level deletion.

rm -rf --no-preserve-root /

Looks like it started appearing in various flavors of Unix and Linux around 2005.

If it were on an old installation of linux, it would delete everything on the file system, from every disk attached.

Modern Linux systems require an additional flag to explicitly stay that you want to nuke your system.

I like Jitsi, but when I record a session it always silently aborts after about 40 minutes.

family friendly bands like The Beatles

"She was just seventeen, you know what I mean..." Um, never mind.

$75,000,000 ÷ 26 = $2,884,614

$2.8 million every 2 weeks, not $3.125 million twice a week.

The reality is bad enough without exaggeration.

I would bet good money that Trump cares just as little about white children.

My guess is that GPS has removed the need for most of these buoys. When any boat can tell it's location within a few meters, and satellite maps are also easily available, avoiding shoals and reefs should be possible without buoys.

Try Language Transfer. I can't recommend it highly enough. It is just a set of MP3 files that you listen to. The teacher explains something to the student, and the student tries it out.

It sounds silly, but it works really well, and it is the best language resource I've ever used.

You can use them through SoundCloud (downloadable MP3s), YouTube, or with the simple but very effective app.

It's all free, although you are welcome to support the project with donations. I have been making a monthly donation for several years now.
