My head explodes looking at that picture. Does anyone have comprehensive (marxist?) analysis to look at for someone who tries to get away from western prop?

From what I have read so far he seems to get something done and people seem to live okay. Need to read more though.

Not sure if this is the correct community but I am curious if anyone has similar issues.

I'm watching communist streamers on twitch sometimes and recently, the site has stopped loading. I assumed it was due to noscript disabling something so I checked, nothing. Disabled it alltogether, nothing. Disabled Adblock, nothing. Disabled privacy badger, nothing. It just doesnt load at all.

i tried ungoogled chromium, loads. Then i got the idea to use a private window on firefox, works as well!

Now I'm confused. Someone on othersite wrote they had issues with twitch detecting an installed adblocker. Does anyone have similar issues or knows anything about it?

I'll investigate when I have time and try to update here in case someone runs into the same issue.

bye comrades

I hope they succeed and our fucking chancellor gets arrested. Fucking murderer.

[–] haui@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

Exactly. It has been pretty top notch for the last three years but aside from gaming it has probably been ver good for 5-10.

Yes, thats what I meant.

Its an interesting yet troubling read. The sectarianism kind of reminds me of the way the owner class divides workers in the west. It feels like a similar mechanic.

Do you live in syria or have family there?

[–] haui@lemmygrad.ml 20 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

I'm highly interested to learn more about syria. The geopolitical situation globally is hard keep track of imho, even if only vaguely.

From somewhere I read that syria used to be less oppressive but i'm not sure about that. Can you share some insights? Why is shit hitting the fan?

Important note: Linus Torvalds was recently seen in a first ever photo with bill -the biggest farm land owner in the US and the reason covid vaccines are patented - gates. This could be the reason. Of course they are surveiling the percentage of competition in THEIR market. So - tinfoil hat ON - if torvalds gets funky ideas now or we start seeing major shifts in policy, we need to raise the alarm immediately.

Well, we (linux nerds) have been saying that for a long time now. It is just not reaching people. And of course that is only for people absolutely want to play games. Everyone else who uses windoze is just coping.

Especially the conclusion is great. I enjoyed reading that.

I would like to add, from a german but still very similar perspective, that we call these people "klassenflüchtling" or class refugees. Those who may have been born into the working class and were forced to sell their labour first but through (white and/or male, etc) privilege were able to get out of the system, mostly.

Ha happened to have this arc and therefore have insight knowledge.

I happened to be reactionary too since I had no meaningful education and did work for 80 hours a week to get out of that shit.

But i turned when I learned how deep that system goes and how cruel it really is.

Back to the population: its the same people here that go reactionary BUT the "lumpenproletariat" has highly propagandized anti islamic, anti immigrant, anti science perspective (thats also a world i have live in and what I was taught by my immigrant parents too btw.)

I would therefore surmise that the "classes" (which i dont believe in, they are meant to divide the working class) are differently radicalized. The lumpenproletariat is being fed the most blatant, science denying lies by axel springer billionaire media. The "normal" working class is being taught to be "lifestyle unradicalized leftists" and the class refugees are being fed the "they're taking your life's work away" narrative.

The "petite bourgeoise" would be people that technically dont need to sell their work but either want to or are being made to believe they have to since what they have can be taken away tomorrow (which is correct but by others than they think).

It is also the same here that most if not all parties (we have the infamous multi party system) have stepped to the right and there is barely any leftist thought inside the parliament anymore.

In case a plan is to be mentioned: to counter this large scale project we would need to take out the media. They alone are the tool to radicalize most of the people. "Ahmed bad" runs on german TV, radio, youtube, etc 24/7 and is rarely interrupted by "kill nazis" (which the alt right afd is pretty aptly called by the leftists) which is again pitting the working class into a culture war to prevent them inciting a class war (e.g. civil war) against the capitalists.

No public transportation! We need dodge rams with only one seat! Cars should have a minimum size of two lanes! - average us politician probably

I'm running around in leftist circles a lot since beginning of last year. I first got introduced to socialism through anarchism [stereotype alert] started to read and went pretty straight to communist and then ML pretty recently. The shoe is still new but it fits very well so far.

Whenever I bring up socialism and communism (let alone ML), I get a lot of flak from other leftists and especially from anarchists. Yet, I feel like a couple anarchist agitators sound like MLs just cosplaying. It would make sense as anarc kids are totally open for socialist ideas if one lets out the "science" part which irritates me a lot.

Does anyone have similar experience or is able to explain?

Btw pls let me know if this is inappropriate to ask. I dont mean to offend anyone.
