Proton is nice for degoogling because it offers the whole suite. I will also think really hard whether I'll renew once the time comes. Don't want ti go through the whole process again but there certainly is sour after taste with Proton these days

Yeah, it's not that the later (and especially the last) seasons were lesser quality, it's that it made rewatching the whole show pointless. Before every new season I rewatched the whole thing. Loved it.

Now, even when I think that I'd like to rewatch it sometime I realize there is no point in doing that. It sucked the enjoyment out of everything that came before.

First two are collections of short stories so there is no big time invesment with testing it out. You can try the waters and see how you like the style and if you don't like it enough to continue, at least you have a book that works on its own.

Nah. My wife also tries to remember the games I play and sometimes almost succeeds like this. This is close enough from a non-gamer wife
