How fast we went from first flight to space flight, on the scale of human existence it was in the blink of an eye, but from our daily perspective, it feels like such a gigantic feat

American war propaganda poster for illustrating feminism, that's certainly a choice

!lemmyvision@jlai.lu is hosted on jlai.lu, this particular post is a cross post from that instance, this might be the source of confusion yes haha

This is an event posted on a francophone instance, you should expect to see some french being spoken by coming here. If anyone shows up with a question in a language - other than English - that I can speak, I will automatically assume it's easier for them that way and respond in their language if possible ; that has also been my approach in advertising this event.

Hey everyone, thank you again for participating, and for your submissions!

I'm glad to announce that the voting form is completed, and you can now cast your votes and select your favourite songs. Everyone is welcome to vote, even if your instance or community did not participate! This is a great opportunity to discover new music, cultures, and bridge the lemmyverse together.

The voting form is available here: https://tally.so/r/wvzg8d

I created a playlist so that you can easily listen to the submitted songs, it's available at the following links:

The form will be available until around the 8th of April, I will then collect the results and publish them shortly after. I hope you'll have a lot of fun listening to the 11 songs submitted for this edition. Don't hesitate if you have any question!

Cheers!

Just played the annual Terraforming Mars (digital on steam) game, I still hate it, but tradition is tradition, we play it because Mars sounds like March in french, so we just have to play it in March

I have this issue with !esports@lemmy.zip and I've never been able to fix it haha (tried pinning and unpinning with both @InEm@lemmy.zip and this account)

Hey everyone!

Friendly reminder that you have approximately one week left to submit your community/instance's song for the second edition of Lemmyvision, the Lemmy song contest!

  • April 1st is the last day you can submit the selected songs in this community !lemmyvision@jlai.lu as its own post.
  • starting April 2nd you will be able to vote for your favourite songs.
  • on April 8th, voting will end, and results will be posted shortly afterwards.

Please refer to the pinned post for the complete rules, but don't hesitate if you have questions!

Cheers!

Taiga is an open-source project management software for cross-functional teams that work agile across both scrum and kanban frameworks.

Taiga's birth goes back to a Kaleidos hackathon in 2013. The team at Kaleidos, filled with frustration, couldn't find an intuitive and visually appealing tool to facilitate agile methodologies for both developers and designers. So, we did what was right. We decided to come up with a better tool and that's how Taiga's journey began!

Penpot is an open source prototyping (bridges design and code) made by https://kaleidos.net/ a Madrilena (Spain) company

We met here on Lemmy, of all places, believe it or not (sorry fellas, lol). I've never had communication so effortless. It's like she already knows exactly what she wants to say as soon as I finish my thought (sometimes before, that's how you know)! After being jerked around so much over the years, I think this might finally be the one.

Hoi vrienden!

I hope this post does not break the rules, last year I ran Lemmyvision a song contest on Lemmy, and I'm excited to announce that the second edition is now live! You're invited to participate by sending a song in Dutch, or any regional language / dialect from any part of the Netherlands!

For those not in the loop, here's how it works:

TL;DR

  • From right now and until April 1st, discuss with your country’s community on Lemmy about which song to send to the contest.
  • Submit the song in this community by makign a new thread.
  • On April 2nd, voting will begin, where you will rank your favourite songs in a form. Any song not submitted by this date will not be featured.
  • On April 8th, results of everyone’s favourite songs will be published.
  • You can use !lemmyvision@jlai.lu for any question, this will be the community for updates and results, make sure to subscribe if you’d like to stay in the loop.
