Well, that is easier to do when their news dont need to follow reality, and their solutions don't need to work or make sense

god, nimbys are so fucking dishonest and stupid. bike lanes increase revenue and create a safer environment. nimbys want to have a worse business in a less safe street as long as they don't have to take 30 more seconds of unloading their deliveries

True. Let's try to reduce agriculture too. Let's see what most of the farmed food is used for. Oh. It's used to feed cows for beef.

i am in a similar position. i have started to give serious thought to the idea of moving back home (to a country with a much lower cost of living than the US), and live from savings while i figure out what i want to do the rest of my life.

we are already overproducing food and throwing it away, so even if there was logic in the idea, it would not actually require additional farming, manufacuring, transportation, etc

Yeah, i remember going to see it mostly because of 3D (which probably helped a lot in becoming one of the most successful movies ever, thanks to the novelty and higher ticket price).

But left so little impact that i can hardly remember anything about it and have no interest whatsoever in seeing the sequels.

The theme park in animal kingdom was fine

I don't think grasping and visualizing are the same. I am sure you can grasp the concept of 3. Like 3 cars waiting on a light, or 3 slices of pizza.

If the limit was visualizing, the answer would be zero, since some folks can't visualize at all.

Just your regular reminder that the President of the United States is ~~deranged~~ in the Epstein Files and trying to distract.

i'll have to agree they need to return to their old name. Washington Football Team was great, they should return to that

The difference between now and the past is that our current world already produces enough of everything to be post-scarcity.

We produce enough food for 10+ billion people, so anyone going hungry anywhere is a policy failure. We have technology and materials to give everyone shelter, so anyone being homeless is a policy failure. We produce so much disposable clothes and electronics devices and other stuff that it is literally thrown away unsold in the desert.

There is absolutely no reason for people to have to toughen up, just to have access to basic human necessities.

the way i see it, is that a nation needs some unifying factor, and i much rather it be some positive ideals than the fact that people are just born nearby or have the same ethnicity. That being said, i can see how it can easily be used to drive up nationalism, so i am not fully sure that the way it is, being forced to kids, is the best way

am i stupid? i don't get what the intent of the message is? what other interpretation is? (english is my second language, so i might be missing some colloquial term here?)
