Am I tagged/labelled folks?

[–] kionite231@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago

yeah, that was the first app I used to achieve the goal. however, for some reasons DroidCam was rejecting request from the reverse proxy, and I didn't have any idea why. so, I thought let's find an open-source alternative of DroidCam and then I found Remote Cam which worked great however the last commit was 2 years ago.

What made you think this is spam?

[–] kionite231@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago

Thanks I didn't know that

Why do you want to host it at all? I mean there are already a ton of fediverse servers out there you can tell Indian people to use one of those. also hosting is expensive unless you have a very good reason to do so

I am excited about Fediverse and how the open nature of it gave birth to thousand of open source projects.

At first I thought about running it inside termux but then I found the SMS forwarding apk which I linked in the post so I chose the easier way.

I chose flask because it's very easy to create APIs using flask. I also tried to make the API using Java but I couldn't figure out how to package it and host it on my server

Good question.

  • I am not GreyTechno. I have just used an apk made by them to forward messages to my server.
  • I got it when I went for a tour, I had to get an SIM from there because the SIM I have doesn't work there. However since I am back home I no longer need that SIM so I thought let's do some experiments with it.
  • basically to create throwaway accounts like we use temp mails.

It's supposed to be used to create throwaway accounts. Or to give a number for random sites which you don't care about.

Hello,

I have schizophrenia however you won't even know it unless I tell you myself, I only have delusion of reference and delusion of persecution. I feel like people want to harm me or mocking me. I don't hear any voices though which is the major symptom of schizophrenia. I am afraid of water and soap too.

AMA :)

Hello,

I try out new distro every week since I have a lot of free time and want to learn more about Linux. I was thinking that it would be interesting to make a Lemmy post every week talking about my experience with the distro and what I did with it. right now I have alpine linux installed and thinking about using it till next sunday.

feel free to suggest next distro that I should try out. (I have tried out a lot of distros but never wrote anything about the experience but now on I will be making post about it here on Lemmy :) )

Hello,

I am trying to get sound working in FreeBSD. I read 9th chapter of FreeBSD handbook(https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/multimedia/). I have succesfully configured the sound card, it shows in dmesg | grep pcm and also in cat /dev/sndstat. however when I try to use beep command to test the speaker, it doesn't work ( I can't hear anything from the sound card).

Hello,

I have started learning Rust. I have only made a fibonaci series program so far but I would make more complex program as I progress in learning Rust :D

Hello,

just wanted to share the idea. I was thinking about installing Android on Laptop just like it's already installed on mobile. I know it's possible using Waydroid but It would be nice If we have a distro that provides an iso to install stock Android(or Lineage OS) so people could easily install Android on their Laptops. I don't know if anyone has already tried it or not.

Edit: Thank you guys for the suggestions I am going for BlissOS and PrimeOS :)

Hello,

I am an vim user and I am used to the vim way of doing things. I started tinkering with emacs some time ago and enjoying it since because of the elisp. however I find the default keybinding kinda weird and it's hard to get used to it. we can't even vi" or ci" in emacs. also emacs doesn't have inbuilt multi cursor support.

I really want to use emacs but these things are holding me back :(

Hello,

I started using gemini almost a year ago when I had recently learned about it. after some time using it I got busy with my life and forget that this awersome protocol exists.

today I was hanging out in IRC and found #gemini . It made me check it out after this much time and it surprised me that gemini is still active. however when I searched for stuff using gemini search engine I found a ton of dead links on the first page. it was disappointing. bbs.geminispace.org is still alive and the last post was 7hours ago. there is also a youtuber name zaney who attempted to port entire gentoo wiki to gemtext, but it seems like he lost interest in doing so.

what are some cool gemini capsule which are still active and you use it?

Hello,
