Sorry, have to lock post since it's attracting off-topic debate and personal attacks that break the rules.

Pinging @buyeuropean@feddit.org who I bet would appreciate your positive feedback of the website! :)

Hey thanks for sharing your experience, glad our Canadian friends are getting as much out of this as we do! :)

Insert relevant xkcd about standards except make it about making one website that gathers all of these websites together.

No but in all seriousness this is just a repost of an older post which was stickied here, but the "sticky" didn't federate across different instances.

(Reposting @buyeuropean@feddit.org's post to federate sticky post and adding a bit of new info. Original post: https://feddit.uk/post/24960476)

We worked the last months on a new completely ad-free database for European products, brands, services and companies. A few days ago we released the site. The website focuses on usability with a simple search form and a clear structure. After the technical development we are now in the process of filling the database with content. The website is currently available in English and German!

You can also submit your own suggestions for European products, Non-European products that you try to find alternatives to, and categories that may be missing.

If you have any feedback, we would appreciate it. If you like it and want to share it, we appreciate that too. :)

Thanks in advance!

Awesome! Glad we are getting rid of windows in critical infrastructure. I can't count the amount of times I've had to make workarounds that feel wrong due to windows being... Windows. And the amount of time I've spent on making sure it doesn't cause trouble anytime...

Siemens is finally moving on to BSD IIRC and (slowly) industrial PC's are going to switch over.

Last new industrial windows based PC, server, as well as HMI I installed was in 2022. But yeah it's slow.

You won't get banned here for recommending tuta.

It has been recommended several times (which is ok), but would be nice if you'd edit your post to, let's say, tell your experiences with it and thoughts after switching to it.

Really appreciate when someone makes a post about their own experiences so I can stop googling "reddit tutamail experiences".

But yeah, you won't get banned for this post here.

The creators of that page are on lemmy and have their own instance: lemmy.one

The official community is also here :) !privacyguides@lemmy.one

Sorry could you elaborate? Or was your comment made using the autofill functionality of heliboard?

[–] lazycog@feddit.uk 6 points 2 weeks ago (6 children)

Heliboard is awesome. FOSS, very customizable, no telemetry, and all the keyboard tools you can think of.
