I have tried several times to use VSCodium for Java but it's unreasonably hard to setup, especially if you have an application split into several projects.
In IntelliJ it just works, its so easy...

As far as I know, AOSP is largely maintained by Google. Without the Google Play Services you lose key functionalities such as notification service or the ability to use home banking apps.
While alternative play services such as microG exist, in my personal experience they are buggy as hell. My banking apps continued not to work and notifications were often delayed by several hours.
I'd love a real opensource linux alternative driven by the community without a big tech dictating what goes in or not. We're not there yet but it's cool to see people trying.
The maps in act 2 and 3 already felt too long and repetitive, if normal mobs just take longer to clear that's a big turnoff to an already underwhelming experience.
I use Linux exclusively but I don't think it's relevant to the discussion.
I would rather use windows 11 than any other EOL version of windows. I loved windows XP when it came out, wouldn't dare to use it today.
It might be a remote exploit or it might not. An OS is not just a program that runs in the background, if it is critically important.
These kind of exploiters don't tend to attack you in particular, they have botnets scanning the web for any compromised machine.
Running windows 10 is fine today, might not be fine after EOL. It is irresponsible to shrug it off and not even consider the alternatives out there, including windows 11.
The desktop environment is called KDE Plasma. Every distribution with KDE will look and feel very similar.
Fedora is a good and safe bet for a distribution.
The problem is that as soon as a security issue is found on windows 10 it won't be fixed, it is perpetual. In Windows 11 it will probably be fixed before you even know it exists.
I can understand the console being more expensive, especially since we don't really know its specs yet (or at least I don't). Why is Mario Kart 30 euros more expensive, tho? It doesn't paint a good picture.
It's not just the console prices that have gone up. Console is, 470 euros, Mario Kart is 90 euros, Pro Controller 2 is 90 euros, the SD card is 60 euros, a webcam is 60 euros...
Meanwhile, their competition is getting cheaper every day.
It's out in the nintendo stores and general retailers are already accepting preorders at the same price. It's real, Mario Kart is 90 euros. Insane.
When the Switch 1 released there was nothing else on the market like it. Play handheld on the bus, get home, dock it, continue playing in full HD. That is amazing. I didn't get the Switch 1 because of the exclusives, it was the versatility that got me.
Piss on carpet, friend!
