I agree about the rust gui situation highlighted in a few of the comments here. It's tough to make it work in a truly native-feeling, rust-idiomatic way with the frameworks out there.

Good wishes to you in your quest! I assume they've ruled out IBS? I have some sensitivities (dairy being the main one) but was stumped on why it seemed to come out of nowhere even without them. Turns out my guts just hate the world ๐Ÿ˜„ Psyllium fiber helps a lot but doesn't solve everything.

Have you seen a gastroenterologist rather than your primary general doctor? Specialsts tend to be more proactive and aware of the current state of the art.

Honestly that's part of the fun of it. I love when he reacts to the information incredulously, "What? Is that really it??"

Bamboo is not a kind of tree in the slightest. It is a kind of grass.

Thank you for all of this information, I very much appreciate it. And great points about all the gotchas.. I suppose it's like an RV -- you have all the problems of a house and all the problems of a vehicle, neatly rolled into one :)

Converting to an electric motor is interesting to me (if I understood correctly). I guess I never thought about that as an option, it makes sense on a sailboat for sure -- what kind of battery setup does that require? And if you want to be free of shore power for your other electronics, I suppose that also makes a lot of sense.

I think my boat office will remain a dream, but it's a fun one to entertain.

I'd love to hear more about your (house?)boat! I live near a river and have thought about doing the opposite -- using a boat as my office.

That's good to know. I don't believe them, but at least they have not gone full-out with it.

This article is a lot of confident statements that are just shy of florid, with only weak anecdotal support, often just a sentence or even a single clause. It feels like the author leaned almost entirely on an LLM to generate it. It's so very disjointed and bland.

I imagine to do this they'll be uploading and scanning all of your text messages.

Edit: I was wrong! They say they won't.
