the synthetic leggings I've been wearing for 2 years are now an inch wider on my waist and 2 inches longer. I've been doing stretches, running, cardio, yoga... If I put the old ones on, my butt looks like a peach one, with the crease up to half of my buttocks. If I wear a brand new one, same brand and model, no crease, my butt is a ball.

The old ones will retain their consistency and form, but I have to slightly adjust them after squatting. Now imagine a leg, the upper leg sits normal but the lower leg is bend outwards: that's what creases look like on the old legging.

My weight hasn't changed, hips and waist are equal. Is this a normal level of stretching?

I also don't know if my butt looks silly with that crease on it or if I should stop wearing them (unwanted attention) but I can really stretch a lot and they're easier to wear than the brand new ones, which are at this point very tight.

Do you put on your leggings like sheer tights?

 

these are sport and yoga asics leggings with a logo so worn off I peeled it off completely but there is still some visible, white-ish residue, some kind of adhesive I assume.

I found https://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Prints-from-Clothes but I don't know if any of those solutions would work to completely remove the residue, plus, I've never done this, so asking for your advice.

how many leggings do you own? because I wear them most days, like 5 to 6 days a week.

 

I want my synthetic leggings to remain as elastic and stable as possible. I use leggings for both social occasions and yoga, running and sport.

I've never done this and wonder if it works.

Alternatively, what works for you?

 

I use leggings every day socially and for sport, but yesterday I used my regular sweatpants. They felt heavier, colder and I moved slower, which is something I never expected.

Am I alone in this?

 

a same pair for running, yoga, pilates and pull ups and other core exercises in winter.

what I use now are regular leather gloves. While thin for leather, they're a bit stiff sometimes. I was wondering if there's something out there that might be better.

When it's temperate I don't use gloves, function is mostly to keep me warm while I train.

 

I feel like I'm in a bad rut.

My routine for the last 6 months was to exercise, run, work my core, do yoga, stretch, even do some handstands. I'd do it before having breakfast, it'd be the first thing I do after waking up. These training sessions would last anywhere from 60 minutes to 3 hours. Even if I felt tired I stick to this routine because it helps me work better (I'm a nurse, so most of my shifts I have to walk a lot anyway).

The longer I've been doing this routine, the shorter it gets on my working days: 6 months ago I would train longer than one hour and go to work, but in the last 2 weeks all I've achieved is some stretching, some running and then I just sit next to the trail and admire nature because I don't have energy to do anything else.

I don't know how big of a role temperature plays: it's almost 90 here (Farenheit) and very sunny.

Is this a phase? Is my body telling me to tone it down? Is it just the summer?

Overall I'm in better shape and have less back pain, I even walk better but I feel tired.

 

pantyhose seem to be the stabler choice, meaning the garment won’t slide down after much walking but it seems to be a hassle if you have to go to the toilet. Hold ups (thigh highs) seem to be the easier choice, provided they do indeed stay up.

Any reason why pantyhose are better than hold ups?

If you’ve used both, do hold ups really stay up? How often do you need to adjust?

If I buy pantyhose, am I supposed to wear undies with it? It seems to be too much fabric down there.

Brands I’m considering are wolford and falke. I’m 5.9 feet tall, 31.4 inches waist diameter and 35 inches hip diameter. Wolford seems to be a good choice for tall and skinny women. According to their size charts I should buy an M. I’m not so sure with falke, because here my size should be an L, but I don’t know if this means the hold up/pantyhose would be too wide around my thighs and have creases or look stupid. If you’ve compared both, should I discard falke?

Is it a sign of bad quality if the silicone rings are exposed on hold ups? Some cottelli hold ups have exposed rings, but these are considerable cheaper than wolford or falke, although you only see them on the side touching your skin, the other side being covered with fabric. Is it also like this on higher end garments?

As said, if I buy hold ups I'd like them to cover as much leg as possible. Somebody told me hold ups cover up to one hand below your buttocks. Do you know of any brand for tall women that covers more than that?

Would it be a good idea to buy crotchless pantyhose? Sometimes I think it would be a healthier option for that area.

 

I'm on the market for pantyhose but everything I've found is high rise and covers your belly completely, usually higher than your navel.

I cannot fathom how that can be comfortable to wear, doesn't it hurt? But if high rise pantyhose are the standard it means people actually want them.

When I was deciding what sport leggings to buy I tried high rise leggings on once and decided against: it's simply too much fabric, it's not comfortable and I only need a mid rise legging to cover up to my waist, not all the way over my navel. Same should apply to pantyhose.

After visiting several stores I found a French brand (DIM) that sells one model of low rise pantyhose. However, I've not found a single online review of this product and I want to see what others think before I buy.

If you wear (high rise) pantyhose, is it comfortable? Does it hurt?

Do you know what brands offer low rise pantyhose?

Can you think of any reason why buying low rise pantyhose would be a bad idea?

 

after several months of regular cardio and running I'm now starting to train my upper body, basically planks and working out with a dumbbell. I'm tall and skinny, so I never had much fat or muscle mass in my arms.

I've trained my arms for 3 days in a row, nothing fancy: upright rows, bent-over rows and triceps kickbacks, 10 repetitions each, 2 rounds.

After that I'm so sore I cannot do more, so I turn to cardio and do planks (front and side) and some yoga.

Today, fourth day, I'm not in the mood to tone up my arms because they burn, but should I keep exercising? Doesn't the burn mean muscle is being built?

I also don't know if I should work with my arms less than with my legs, should I do cardio and running 5 times a week and arm toning only 3? Would it be better to do both in the same session or to alternate (odd days cardio and running, even days arm toning and yoga)?

 

I work with a needy man, the kind of person who needs constant attention and feels threatened by silence. If I choose to read something on my phone instead of giving him attention he asks if everything's all right. If I choose to meditate, adopting a yoga like position and closing my eyes before working he asks the same. It's like he needs people talking to him constantly.

I am the opposite, I believe: I don't talk about my life at work, I go there because I need a paycheck, but I'm open to learn from more knowledgeable colleagues, something he clearly is not.

What I've done so far: avoiding him, not looking him in the eye when he wants to talk to me, telling him that I'm working when he wants to talk to me, giving dull answers, feigning ignorance about several topics, ignoring him when I'm talking to another person and he asks what we're talking about.

He still comes and sits next to me and tells me about his family, something I don't care about.

I'm torn because I want to tell him to leave me alone, that I don't care about his life, but considering the 'offense' this seems too much and knowing me I'd immediately regret it and feel bad about it.

Why am I like this?

 

are there days where you only train certain parts of your body / only do certain exercises because you simply don't have the time for a full workout?

my ideal workout means stair climbing, running-walking and stretching. It can well last 2 hours.

Some days I don't have enough time to do all that. Would it be better to do less of each kind of exercising or just to fixate on one kind?

first time this happens to me afaik. I was just stretching with black leggings and a t-shirt. I noticed him 100 yards away walking around but always looking at me. Upon making eye contact he would look away but as soon as I turned to stretching, he'd look at me.

He started slowly approaching me and at one point stood at like 15 yards from me, but still separated by a fence. At that point I decided to cut my work out short and left avoiding eye contact.

I consider myself lucky because he didn't follow me.

What scared me the most is he was bigger and taller than me.

If this ever happened to you, how did you react? How do I react next time this happens?

 

I like working out and stretching in my leggings and I’m looking for a seamless tanga or a string that won’t show lines, won’t ride up and won’t accumulate sweat.

I don’t know if I should discard cotton tangas, because cotton absorbs moisture and I want to remain dry. If cotton is a no go, what fabrics should I use?

I don’t know if I should completely discard tangas and use a string, because compared to strings, tangas are quite wide on the sides. Won’t that be noticeable to the people I workout with when I stretch? And if it’s cotton, it’s going to be thicker than synthetic fabric or a seamless tanga.

I’ve never used a string, but seems to be ideal if I want to avoid lines. What I fear is that it’ll ride up. I don’t want that.

If I get a string and workout with it, will it leave deep marks in my skin? It’s a very thin piece of fabric.

Whatever I buy it’s gonna be low rise.
