Nope, not surprised.

Wow, that was a great thread. I realized, maybe, what was realized by the author as well — with other socials, it’s about “getting likes” or outside approval. “Great post!” That sort of thing.

But with the fediverse, it’s about interaction. Having conversations with real people. For me, having posts boosted or whatever doesn’t give me that dopamine hit that another platform might. Instead, it’s how engaged people may get with the post.

I think that’s why I’ve abandoned all other social media and stuck with the fediverse. It’s organic.

One thing I’m not a huge fan of with a lot of newer strains is how they seem to want to lean it too THC-heavy, which might sound dumb, but the more balanced strains always make me feel better.

I wish I lived in a state where I could grow my own. I have a couple of things that I use it for, so being able to have more control over the development and growth would be ideal.

But yeah, I totally agree. Seems like a lot of the strains have drifted away from their original lineage quite a bit.

Every day, there’s a major scandal, and yet Trump still isn’t in prison. That’s what makes this such bullshit. I can’t believe no one in government is brave enough to uphold the law.

Same here. I plan to move as soon as I can afford to. It’s weird being one of a small group of liberals living in a place where the citizens see me as “evil” for caring about human rights.
