Back again after a long break (with some lazy anki deck learning, I nearly caught up to my backlog of repeat cards)

The controllers are still beloved by the community, which is why nintendo released a gamecube controller for smash ultimate
Nothig is wrong with a textfile if it works for you. The todo-list apps and time tracking apps just offer easily accessable features like projects, tags, subtasks, maybe some sync festures and import features from some calender or something. So you don't have to build a system to organize your stuff yourself.
Celeste - wind physics, fuck dat. (Also me playing c-sides which took forever and I was already tilted and then the wind physics came.) Any multiplayer - kernel level anti cheat Pokemon - i lost all pokemon in my nuzlock grr... will play again soon tho Zelda, minecraft - i dont like exploring Civ - takes too long for one game
I stuck with superproductivity. It supperts boards (you can configure your own board, but kanban and eisenhower are build in i think (i dont use that feature) i like how they handle projects and task storage. They have a philosophy of not adding task from a project to the daily clutter, you chose yourself. If helps to not feel overwhelmed and it can store tasks.
Its not that good for lists of things imo, its better for for timetracking. But you can create a task and easily do subtasks and use it as a list. Also I think it is installable via docker but I don't know, I havent used docker, but a search gave some results.
It doesn't have some basic search features which sucks but same
I am trying at the moment to use a pop-up which suggests different acivities. First when opening an app and then every 15 minutes or so. Works somewhat, I read a few pages because of that, but kinda annyoing when I want to use the app and sink my time in. I try to aim it at my resolve, with texts that help me answer the question "do I really want to do that or am I just doing it because it's convenient"
Also sometimes going for 100% blocking everything just has a bad yoyo effect, maybe try more of reducing it/ replacing the time spend and allow yourself at a designated time frame to use these attention traps or something idk.
I played a few when they first popped up and the logical flaws in them are clear as hell AI slop. I wish I could remove developers from my f-droid client somehow
I recommend everyone tonuse an adblock and switch off of big tech products because fuck them
Bro says I can't read when I say "the authors use of m-dashes" and thinks I mean you.
Maybe it would also be good to include software options into this?
Like browsers (librewolf, hardend firefox, etc.)
Browsers on mobile
Search engines (ddg, kagi, ...)
email providers (proton, tuta, ...)
Vpns (proton, ivpn, airvpn, ...)
Messanger (signal, ...)
Or things like FreeTube to reduce telemetry and ads from youtube
And alternatives such as lemmy for reddit, mastodon for twitter
It will bloat this post quite a bit, and they are more easily accessable to find, but it's nice to gather all the materials needed in one place maybe?
