You lost your friends to addiction, not drugs. Addiction isn't funny and is a very serious topic, but plenty of people have a healthier relationship with drugs, and joking about that sort of consumption is fine.

Like are we not allowed to make jokes about drinking because there are alcoholics out there?

My brother died of a heroin overdose after suffering a drug addiction for 10+ years. I still found the comment funny.

Like I said, just because you're upset doesn't mean you're right.

Also, insulting others for sharing their opinion just proves how juvenile you're acting.

Drugs aren’t funny. And people like you that downplay their effect and how they destroy lives is why we have the problem we have with them.

Now, run off and go minimize someone else’s issues.

So stop arguing and let people have their opinions. And stop with the “go see a therapist” bullshit. The false concern is cringey as fuck.

Maybe stop projecting your guilt that you couldn't keep your friends from the addiction of drugs.

I'm sorry about them, truly, I am...but like.. whose fault is it? Is ours? No. Is it yours? No. It wasn't even the drugs fault. It was theirs. They made the decision to do them. They let it spiral and paid the consequences for it.

I mean by your logic we are never a allowed ot laugh or make fun of anything cause someone died from it.

Yoy are an emotional reactive person, and this is coming from someone who is a emotional reactive person.

    Stop it.

It's not our fault they died. Leave that shit at home.

Like I hear folks all over making fun of people who have hep c, a d how they are drug users and etc etc.

Well I had hep c and it ruined my life...but I don't go around get all mad at then. I move on.

MOVE ON. We are not your safety blanket.

Your obsession with telling me how I’m supposed to think is getting a bit weird kid.

I only stated that I don’t think drugs are funny and people who do are idiots. That’s it. Everything else has simply been in defense of my opinion which was attacked by nearly everyone here.

I didn’t come here to change anyone’s minds or to fix them. Nor did I come here to agree with the hive. I said what I felt needed to be said- because that is how I feel, and sharing it is part of how the internet works. I never said they can’t think drugs are funny, just that they’re stupid for thinking so. I am allowed to have this opinion. And you don’t get to tell me that I am not. Yet you DO get to share your opinion on what I say. And I get that it’s probably pretty easier to see these two things as the same thing to someone that lacks the ability to understand how nuanced discussions work, but I assure you- they are NOT the same thing

    So to summarize:

HAVING AN OPINION ON A THING ≠ TELLING SOMEONE THEY CAN’T HAVE AN OPINION.

I really hope this helps you in the future. And…. As a side-note:

You really need to let this go. You’re not qualified to be making ANY of the assumptions you’ve made, and frankly- your need to fix my opinion is incredibly cringy. Go help someone that actually asked you for it.

    Mmmkay?

(Oh, and thanks for admitting your only purpose here was to tell me to “eat shit”, that’ll probably longer your aggressively sad attempt to troll removed)

I find the blocking absolutely bizarre. I have never blocked anyone in my decades of online internet use. Ignored a lot of people, but never blocked anyone.

I don't really care about the subject I am not discussing that, but why would you come to a discussion forum, say your piece and then expect that you will simply block anyone who responds?

And you of course are being the biggest dickhead because right or wrong, you have the last word and slam the door. Just asshole behaviour.

So I ask you, if you are going to block everyone that disagrees with you, why would you even be here?

I block people that offer nothing to the discussion and seem to only want to escalate the argument for no purpose. Blocking them makes it easier to not have to encounter them down the road as they clearly have little to offer.

Okay then I’ll respond. You’re a child. Go do some drugs and grow up.
