Sooo... the only choices are between being an idolator of Beardy McDeadguys or being a liar?

Thirty Helens agree. Sharing an aproximate worldview is literal idolatry.

Do you incorporate the name of everybody you share an approximate worldview with into your identity, too?

No, because not everyone is so well known for having formalized a specific worldview that the worldview itself is named after them.

Do Keynesian economists worship Keynes? Do people who deeply believe that Newtonian physics is vital for understanding reality at the macro scale practice idolatry?

You are either disturbingly naive or a troll. Terms don't magically become religious just because they incorporate the name of a foundational figure in them.

    formalized a specific worldview

A critique of capitalism, no matter how accurate, is not a "world view."

    Do Keynesian economists worship Keynes?

I've never seen liberals goose stepping en masse in front of huge murals of Keynes - so I guess not.

    Terms don’t magically become religious

No magic required at all. All you need is for a certain group to treat a historical figure with an almost-religious like reverance out of all proportion to reality - like making said person's name a part of your personality.

I couldn't think of a better word for it while taking a shit... you literally used it in your response... and now you want to criticize my word choice?

The point was that there was something akin to idolatry because a person's name was in the term for something people agree with. Goalpost shifting?

I've never seen liberals goose stepping...

I see. I'm going be similarly pedantic, because you are clearly a disingenuous troll. Liberals wouldn't be caught dead praising anything but capitalism. Goose stepping, yeah, Lol. Project much, troll? ✌️

  • Goalpost shifting?

    Nope.

you literally used it in your response

    Yep.

a person’s name was in the term for something people agree with.

Still not seeing physiscists goose stepping in front of giant creepy banners of Einstein.

Liberals wouldn’t be caught dead praising anything but capitalism.

Liberals praise lots of things except capitalism - the ideology of the status quo very rarely praises that which it is truly all about.

    Goose stepping, yeah, Lol.

Wanna see a picture that's not AI?

You must be very young - they used to show these on tv all the time back in the 80s.
