Violent protests would be extremely counterproductive in the US right now. If you really believe otherwise then you need to step away from the Internet for a while, because you are totally delusional.

    No it isn't. You're just delusional. You think the average French person is sympathetic to violent protests? They are almost always counterproductive.

    A false dichotomy is the presentation of a problem as a binary choice, when in fact there's a variety of solutions.

    In this case Americans are doing nothing to prevent the rise of fascism.

    You're claiming that you're doing nothing because violent protest is counter-productive, and ignoring all of the other solutions.
