Yes, reddit is very anti-AI, you goober. I barely use the site anymore, and even I know that. How a daily user would miss that is beyond me.

WTF is a "fractional CTO"? My first guess is he's 1/10 of the CTO and chatbots are the rest.

They work for multiple companies. Common in small to mid size startups looking for direction on how larger operations do business and help bring in technology investment who probably don’t have money to get an experienced cto with connections.

Thusly, NOT a CTO. They just misspelled "hourly gig tech worker". They're like the Uber drivers of technology.

It's always odd to me when you have someone who gives themself a C-suite title when they work for a company without a corporate board. That's kind of the deal. If you're a "chief" of anything, that means you're actually an officer of the company with specific duties like signing stock certificates, etc. Most of these structures are set up by the MCBA.

You can declare yourself chief of upper buttcrack, but I don't imagine anyone would be fooled by the title.

Not what they were asking and you are not correct. It’s the chief technology officer. You know a person.

I was wrong, yeah, but what do you mean by "You know a person"?

Not the person who wrote it, but I think this punctuation might better convey a likely meaning:

It’s the chief technology officer, you know? A person.

The CTO is a person and not a department.

Oh right, I know that. I just thought the fractional bit meant they were the CTO of a division of the company.
