Our government is on the brink of passing a completely totalitarian bill which would demolish our freedoms and effectively destroy our right to privacy. The bill I am writing about is Bill C-22, specifically the "Supporting Authorized Access to Information Act" portion of the bill. It would give the government the ability to require backdoors into any piece of electronic service it sees fit. This is an extremely dangerous precedent to set, it completely undermines the ability for Canadians to technologically enforce privacy and makes the work of at risk peoples such as journalists, whistleblowers and anybody who receives scrutiny from the state infinitely harder. The government should not have the capability to get every digital interaction an individual has and definitely should not have the ability to force developers to make their software less secure. Even if you have a complete and total trust in the state to act in your best interest and never use this power unlawfully the standards for accessing this data could lower, this bill lowers the standards for obtaining warrants. These backdoors could also be hacked and accessed by malicious actors to obtain personal information about private citizens whenever they wish. As Canadians we have to fight these laws by forming a movement against them, we must organize protests against bill C-22. If you support this message please spread the word and try to organize a demonstration in your local community, together we can fight back against this tyrannical bill.

Please repost this letter anywhere you wish to encourage mroe people to speak out and demonstrate against this bill.

How does one become an Anabaptist?

Fuck this digital world and upcoming wars. I'll go farm and die with them instead of being constantly spied on by the government and tech bros. Or being forced to fight for oligarchs and corporations.
