I thought there was gonna be a joke about his crypto eye worldcoin thing when it mentioned eyes. I wanna call it a scam but I frankly don't know. I just assume anything crypto related is a scam.

That seems like a good instinct to me.

"Worldcoin" is explicitly a project to create a global database of retinal patterns to sell to governments and law enforcement agencies.

That feels scary to me. I don't know why ... I genuinely don't know how governments or law enforcement or even private entities will use that data but it's like 23andMe. I just don't want them to have it.

And paying for that information in crypto feels shady too.

Yep, mass surveillance, AI, and crypto all rolled into one big police state power play. Isn't modern technology wonderful?

Anything crypto related is a scam. It's just a question of whether you luck out and get off of the pump-and-dump ride in time. The rich people who only see it as a financial instrument for speculation are counting on people holding on for even greater profits so that they can be left holding the bag.

I just assume anything crypto related is a scam.

Wasn't always the case but definitely is now.
