I just can't get over how other ethnicities are an abstract concept for him.

I've got black folks in my extended family, I've been friends with people of all kinds of ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds since I got out of my 99% white highschool and went to the UW, and then spent the correct amount of time enjoying all the varying flavors of Seattle's different districts.
